Hi Pinteresters!! I hope you like my new laundry room! All made by yours truly. Custom made washer and dryer cover. Custom center shelves. Custom storage cubby. All the glassware is from Walmart (super cheap). The plastice storage baskets are from Home Centric, as well as the rope decor and the mini bathtub. The cabinets are from Home Depot. Bought them unfinished and painted them with Shermin Williams Sea Salt from Lowe’s. Wall color is SW Divine White. Custom Laundry Room

How to Build a Washer and Dryer Surround/Shelf for Your Laundry Room

This may be one of my favorite projects that I completed for the One Room Challenge in the laundry room. It not only was a major aesthetics booster (it hides ALL the ugly outlets and electrical)...but it's also super functional and created an entirely new surface to store supplies like laundry pods, dryer balls, and even the cutest mini trash can for dryer lint. I wanted a solid cover for my washer dryer. My old laundry had a butcher block top that was on 2x4s attached to the walls but it wasn’t easily removeable. And I wanted to be able to store brooms on the side of the washer. I would have paid money to buy something but apparently no such product exists. So I made this for about $35.00. 5mm birch underlayment plywood cut to size at Home Depot. A chair rail cut to size. A pack of gripping pads for underneath and some stain I already had.
