1️⃣ Before shampooing, apply a light oil (such as coconut or argan oil) to your hair and scalp, focusing on the ends. This helps to protect your hair from the drying effects of shampoo while nourishing it with essential nutrients.

2️⃣After shampooing and conditioning, rinse your hair with cold water instead of hot water. Cold water helps to seal the hair cuticles, making your hair appear smoother and shinier. It also helps to lock in moisture, preventing frizz and dryness.

3️⃣Mix a tablespoon of brown sugar with your shampoo to create a DIY scalp scrub. Gently massage this mixture into your scalp before shampooing to exfoliate dead skin cells, product buildup, and excess oil. Emily Smith on Instagram: "Don’t skip scalp care! 🙌🏼

This is a major factor that I never paid attention to.

Our scalp is just like our skin on our face and our body. But it ages much faster.

It’s just like growing vegetables in a garden. If you have bad soil, you won’t get good vegetables. Healthy hair can’t grow from an unhealthy scalp.

We need a routine for our scalp, just like we do everything else that’s important. Mine is simple and effective.

🌱oil treatments once a week
🌱scalp scrub twice a month
🌱shampooing twice
🌱using a thinning defense serum daily

My scalp and my hair are consistently getting nutrients.

Comment “ME” and I’ll send you the link to my scalp care/haircare system that’s on major sale this weekend! 📲
