The client had this oak table and wanted it updated into more of a driftwood finish— top, skirt and base! The table top was easy to sand and remove the previous finish, but removing the paint from the skirt and the pedestal base and all of the details took some time and effort! . To remove all of that paint I first sanded as much of it off with my orbital sander and then I used my scraper and my Dremel to remove the paint from the crevices and details! After everything was sanded, I mixed @minwaxusa simply white and early american stains— 1:5 part ratio to achieve a very neutral raw wood/driftwood finish!
