Tape off walls and floors. If it’s very greasy use a heavy duty cleaner like Krud Kutter. - Apply liquid wood to all surfaces with a foam brush in long even strokes. I used Retique It Light Wood Color. Paint two coats. Wait two hours in between coats. - Apply stain of choice. Allow it to sit on the surface for about two minutes before wiping it off in long even strokes. I did a second coat once the first was dried. I used Varathane Black Gel Stain on my bottom cabinets and Minwax Provincial Stain on my top cabinets. - After 48 hours of everything drying, apply one to three coats of polyurethane. I did three coats on this area of my kitchen.
