Erin Jones on Instagram: "The viral bow sweatshirt hack — but with cute fabric! 🎀 Ever since I saw this tutorial with ribbon, I knew I needed to make one with cute leftover fabric! This would also be SO darling with pieced fabric scraps to create a patchwork bow effect. 😍 if you do this, please tag me so I can see what you make! To create my bows, I used 2” x 31” strips of fabric. You can cut your strips wider (3-4”) to create wider bows. Materials: ✨ leftover Sevenberry fabric by @robertkaufman ✨ @target sweatshirt (the men’s sweatshirts are the best!) #scrappy #scrap #fabric #sweatshirt #hack #viralhack #bow #bows"
Erin Jones on Instagram: "✨🎀✨Viral Bow Sweatshirt Hack✨🎀✨ ✨Quilter’s Edition — Version ✌️✨ This time I upgraded an old sweatshirt I haven’t worn in a year. I also switched up the width of my bow, the hem of the sweatshirt, and the bow shape. I used one of my all time ✨favorite✨ fabrics by @bonniechristine for @artgalleryfabrics - Open Road Backroads Umber Stripe (always in my stash) *Edit - I misspoke in the video and referred to the double-fold binding as bias binding. It’s double-fold 😂 #humanbrain Which version do you prefer? #bow #bowsweatshirt #fabric #scrap #scrappy #hack #bows"

Eilene Johnson on Instagram: "Make a Scrapoy Valentine Coaster with me! Here’s what I did ➡️ - cut 2” strips of various lengths in fun cotton prints. Cut one 2” x 2” square for the starting middle piece. - cut a piece of 8 1/2” square piece of cardstock and cut out a heart shape. - trace the heart with a Frixion heat erase pen on a piece of insulbright. This gives you an outline to know how many strips to sew to fill the heart. - sew in log cabin fashion and then quilt if desired. - grab a backing piece and trace a heart on the back side of the fabric. Save the extra fabric scraps from that piece for future projects 🙌🏻 - with right sides together, place the front and back together, matching up the traced heart lines as close as possible. It doesn’t have to be exact because an iron will
