Now take a vertical parting from the high point of the head to the top of the ear to separate the front and back. Find the point where the comb lifts off the head. Take a horizontal parting to that point of reference to divide the nape in the back sections. Take a parting that's two inches behind the center front hairline down to where the hairline begins to curve. This will separate the fringe sections from the sides. Cut the guide at no below the chin. Comb the hair to 90 degrees and cut a diagonal line that leaves length to the bottom. When you release this, you'll have a line that moves from short to long. Now that we have a guide established, we can take the rest of our fringe section and pull it to that guide. Get the hair into the right position by combing it all forward. You're going to follow the cutting line you created in the fringe section. Elevate the hair straight and follow the cutting line you created. Your fringe will now blend into the face framing. So you'll just want to keep extending the cutting line that you started. We're shift our elevation to a much higher elevation and this is to maintain length to the bottom area and density and you're going to comb until you can see your cutting line and once I find my cutting line I can go ahead and cut and you can customize the ends as desired. I'm pulling them slightly out of natural fall and just cutting a shape that works from short to long. This will help reinforce the V shape we created in the hair cut. Once complete, you'll have these feathered layers. The hair when it's blown dry should have a feathered effect that flows away from the face.

1.2M views · 4.8K reactions | WolfCut Tutorial | #TutorialTuesday brought to you by @myguiltycrown 🐺🐺🐺 #PivotPoint #LearnForward | By Pivot Point International | Here's a simple breakdown of the textured wolf cut. You're going to want to section out the crown on the top and then break the bottom down into four sections. After selecting the shortest layer guide, you're elevating all the bottom sections to the guide and cutting a horizontal line all the way around the head. That's going to make it really easy to create even layers all the way around and it'll give you symmetry in the final result. You'll create layers that flow from short to long and you're going to get an edge that mimics the shape of the hairline. You need to create layers on top so cut your guide and then elevate the hair straight out of the head cutting around shape from front to back. You're creating a stationary guide in the center which you're then going to connect all the following subsections too. So by pulling all of your sections to the center, you'll get shorter layers on top that will get longer towards the bottom. This part should be really easy to cut because you've already created the guide so you can just follow your cutting line and continue to elevate the hair straight out of the head. I pull it slightly forward to even get a little bit more length to the back and finally, you're going to create a round shape in the crown by cutting the line that connects the layers on top to the layers in the back and that's it. Once you're satisfied, you can just add a little bit more angling around the face and you should ready to blow dry. For styling, I'm going to use the Canra Professional Volume Mousse Extra and this is going to give a starchy feeling to the hair that'll make it easier to create texture. Once the hair is dry, this should be your final result. Because of the elevation we use, all the layers blend into each other really nicely. And even though the hair looks really good straight, I think wearing it wavy also adds another kind of texture to it. So I added a little bit of wave with the flat iron and we used some of the Canra Dry Texture Spray to give it this final look. So I hope you enjoyed and let me know what else you want to see. Thanks.

But I would say the key difference is that these layers are styled forward as opposed to being pushed away from the face. You can use this technique to recreate the look.
