Part XXVIII “What is truly left is what we were dealt. The remnants of a process of evolution incompatible with our current post-physical life. We are still human, and have a human frame of mind. There is no objective truth, but there is human truth. There is no objective beauty, but there is human beauty. ——————————————— ‘Illustrative lion’ lion illustration with linework elements 🦁〰️🖊 9 x 13 cm Biceps Do you want an illustrative tattoo? Part XXXII “Are we afraid of being free? On the surface it doesn't seem so. The ability to choose things freely seems to be the basis and fuel for all our systems. We are part of our society because we choose who gets to deceive us. We consume because it gives us the power to choose who gets to rob us.¨ ——————————————— “Abstract flowers” Abstract graphic tattoo 13 x 16 cm Inner elbow #geometrictattoo #abstractdesign #tattooinspiration #inkart #geometricart #tattootrend #triangletatto...
Part XXXV “This is where life starts happening in my opinion. Devoid of guidelines and plans we now have to go with the flow. The only thing that can help us now is, counterintuitively, a form of positive nihilism. If there is nothing beyond, and nothing to give us purpose here, we can tread lightly. The weight has been lifted from our shoulders and we can truly choose….. ——————————————— “Chinese lettering” Script tattoo 4 x 80 cm Across the back #chinesescripttattoo #tattoodesıgn #t...

Part XXIII “…. The benefit of walking blind is that your other senses light up. Maybe in this way we can develop an ‘antenna’ for our inner feelings. If life is overplanned it leaves no space for improvisation…” ——————————————— Fine line tattoo 3 x 3 cm Inner shoulder
Night church
Part XXI “.. Obviously, it's never easy to find the exact point where we went wrong, when life went from clear to cluttered. Previous attempts at this have turned out to be more of a parody of life than a simplification . ——————————————— Plein air night cityscape A4 Watercolour and ink on glossy paper
Little moon
Part XXI “ … Traditionalism is one answer to our messy world, not unlike minimalism. Somewhere life got so complicated.. What if we just go back to when it made sense? Only life is inherently messy and cluttered. The only way to make it simple again is to strip it of everything that makes it so beautiful. ——————————————— Fineline tattoo 3 x 4 cm Triceps
Mechanical sleeve
Part XXII “… It is our interests and curiosity that propels us. But if we become to focussed on only our own frame we polarise away from the people around us. My job allows me to now and switch to others world view and see what makes them tick. ——————————————— Script and illustrative tattoo Sleeve Full arm
Carpe Diem
“ They say that ignorance is bliss, but this goes against our human nature in my opinion. We are designed to be curious and figure things out, even if it might not be in our best interest. ——————————————— “Carpe Diem” Script and flower tattoo 3 x 9 cm Biceps

“I dont need to formulate my subjects anymore and I am not bothered by other people telling me the subject matter. It is just a vehicle to get me where I need to be.” Doing fine tattoos in dificult places used to be a trap, now it’s just a challenge. ——————————————— Lined tattoo 4 x 7 cm Right side lower stomach
Amsterdam 2100
“... There is no job and no life that will force you to be flexible like art. One day I´m in my atelier working on dark portraits and the next I´m designing a futuristic cityview for a promotion in amsterdam… ” Working digitally always feels like cheating to me, unless, like in this case, you switch between digital and analogue, improving both. ——————————————— Rendered image Digital/ analogue merged
Fred Phelps
¨…. The system we build is entirely fictional and can be twisted and corrupted by people with a predator like opportunistic way of operating. These inner thoughts leave a mark on the outside, The result of my fascination with people who seem to have an irregular mind and the resulting changes in their expression is shown in my art. Fred Phelps was the Godfather and pastor of the Westboro Baptist church, an American church that preaches views that most would denounce as extreme and horrible. I wanted to paint him not like the madman that most see him as, but make an honest portrait of him as just him ---Black and grey portrait 70 x 100 cm Acrylic paint on paper The original is still available on etsy, as well as a high-resolution, high quality digitally printed version.
Little bat
“....It is not necessarily that I love horror imagery, it is just nice that everything is on the table. Sometimes tattooing a bat shows that there is more than just birds to be depicted. The exception can sometimes stretch the rule…. ” Little bat tattoo I did a long time ago for @awinpieper. Thick lines combined with thin lines and quick shading worked wonders for this one. I love how it turned out and that I got to design most of it by hand. Would you like an illustrative tattoo? Warped skull
“..... In a way us tattoo-artists are the ones who really continue the traditions from the art world, with a focus on skill and a natural urge towards the weird and macabre” All skulls are great to do, but this one was just so much better... It was one of my flashes that @keppelcake picked to get inked! When you thought that skulls couldn't be made even creepier. ——————————————— “Warped skull” Black and grey tattoo 15 x 20 cm Shoulder Would you like a horror style tattoo? Bold flower
“.... The same goes for the way we relate to tradition. Sometimes we should honour the rules that the ones before us have put up, as they are there for a reason. Time-tested, like a lighthouse guiding you safely through unsure waters. But if you only follow the old rules they will never evolve. ” Myself I look for the value in the rules for my style, like using traditional bold lines to convey an originally fineline image
Bobby
“I have no trouble flowing with the requirements of the people I get to meet as customers along the way. If you want something tiny, clean and simple, I’ll enjoy it, if you want something gigantic, lovely as well.”
