Oak Carpeted Staircase

The staircase was made from Oak, with the main body of the staircase being carpeted. This, along with being this customers preference, breaks up the color schemes and stops the Oak from overpowering the hallway. The balustrade is glass, which is very minimal and rather than acting as a feature it instead encourages people to look through the stairs at the pictures, decorations and overall aesthetic of the home.

Open Plan Staircase, Thick Treads

In combination with the open treads, the client wanted glass balustrade. This has similar benefits to the staircase being open plan, and if this had been spindles instead it would of closed the hallway off and made it feel smaller. The glass balustrade is fixed to the handrail and baserail with stainless steel glass clamps, allowing for a more contemporary feel.

Open Plan Staircase, Thick Treads

This new build property spans four floors, with each floor being serviced by the same staircase in one continual well, maximising its whilst not being overpowering is crucial. The most obvious design point for this staircase is that it needs to be open plan. The client chose to have thick treads made of solid American White Oak to give the staircase a robust quality feel throughout.

A modern staircase uses all the available materials and blends them all seamlessly to create a minilaml creation, with smooth lines and light colors. The client has a staircase with chrome, glass fitted to a ash timber staircase without any any part outshining the other The client has designed their bottom step themselves, highlighting how we work with our customers to create something that they will be happy with, being a truly unique element.
