It seems it just doesn’t work well? I don’t know how a tape can cause micro bubbles, I’m assuming the scratches were due to damaged tape or the paint brush bristles (which should not be an issue!) 🤨FAQs • I stir the epoxy resin in a silicone cup in a bowl of warm water to help the bubbles rise to the top (by warming the resin) • I do multiple layers to ensure the botanicals don’t float to the top when curing • Always wear PPE (personal protective gear) when using epoxy and UV resin. Place pattern face down 3. leave 1/2 inch excess clay around the transfer sheet. Do not cut the clay right at the edge of the paper, or you risk water getting underneath and washing the pattern away. 4. use an acrylic roller to roll over the pattern several times (with pressure) in both directions. This is the most important step! 5. leave your slab on the tile when rinsing, do not lift clay from tile to rinse. 6. use a very gentle stream of water. If you use too much water pressure, it will get under the pattern and wash it away. If your image still washes away with these tips, follow step 8 7. Very gently rub the pattern with your fingers while it is under the faucet, to remove the excess paper. Do not use too much pressure, or it will dull the pattern 8. instead of the faucet first, you can either wet a paper towel and lightly dab it on your sheet, or, spritz the clay with a light mist spray bottle, and then take it to the sink like normal. 9. If the pattern smudges at all, this is because it dried for too long, and the oils in your clay are reacting with the ink. Try to cut it immediately. 10. you have never used transfer papers, I recommend cutting a small test piece, instead of risking the entire paper 11. If you did not remove all of the paper before baking, don’t worry, you can remove most of it with a q tip and isopropyl alcohol 12. From personal experience, you do not need to seal transfer papers. However, if you choose to, I recommend DuraClear matte for a matte finish, or UV resin for a shiny finish | Rochelle Doyel
