You only need 4 ingredients, they have no added sugar or artificial dyes, and they have the same taste/texture as the nostalgic candy from childhood! ⭐️ Follow for more simple, fun, healthier recipes ⭐️ The kids had so much fun cutting out the hearts, and they thought the crunch of the candy was awesome! You can check my stories to see! 💙 Healthier Candy Hearts 💙 Ingredients: - 3/4 tsp @ossaorganic pasture-raised gelatin - 1/4 cup @zevia ginger ale - dash of @mortonsalt sea salt - 2 cups @sonourishedinc monkfruit powdered sugar - @ifiprovisions natural colorants Directions: 1. Mix the gelatin with the ginger ale in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 10-second increments until gelatin is completely dissolved. (My ginger ale was room temperature and I needed 30 sec) 2. Add ginger ale mixture, salt, and 1 cup powdered sugar to a mixing bowl. Slowly add more powdered sugar until the mixture takes on the consistency of play doh. 3. Divide the dough into balls based on how many colors you want. Place one ball back in the mixing bowl, add colorant, and mix together. 4. Sprinkle powdered sugar on a silicone mat or piece of parchment paper. Roll out the dough until desired thickness. Use a cutter to cut out hearts. I found it was easiest to insert the cutter and tap to release. 5. Air dry for 24 hours, flip, and air dry for another 24 hours. Use food-safe markers, if desired, to write sayings on top. This year we did two boxes both found at @walmart. Use glue dots or double sided tape to secure the candy and gift cards. The sky is the limit on what you can include in the boxes. How would you fill it? #valentinesgifts #valentinesgiftideas #valentinesgiftforkids #teachervalentines #valentinesgiftsforher #candygram #vday #vdaygifts | Trina H 🎉 Mom Blogger
