A few years ago I was reorganizing a closet and discovered cardboard boxes tucked into a dark corner. Much to my surprise, I found dress boxes and shoeboxes filled with photographs from the 1940s and early ’50s. I had forgotten that when my father died I inherited his personal photographs. That afternoon and long into the night, I sat on the hallway floor looking at the pictures and reliving some of those moments. It was like discovering buried treasure, a forgotten family heirloom.

When Tony Luciani's mother was no longer able to look after herself, the Canadian-Italian artist took it upon himself to become her full-time caregiver. But instead of just taking care of her basic needs, Luciani decided to include his mother in his art so that she'd feel more productive.

What happens when you get a bunch of photographers together from all over the world? We make bloody epic memories 🫶🏻 Those memories captured thanks to @surfolkau 📸🧡 My editing style is definitely influenced by retro film and the colours and warmth that come through a developed image. There’s something about the grain and the soft shadows that feel so nostalgic.
