Katie Johnson Graduate School

Hi I’m Katie Johnson I live in Milledgeville GA. We moved to GA in 2011 from Oxford MS where I attended undergraduate at Ole Miss and began my career there in Disability Services. I grew up in a military family moving around a lot. I enjoyed all of the places we lived and continue to stay in contact with childhood friends. My parents are from Mississippi and that’s how I arrived at Ole Miss. I enjoy outdoor activities: hiking, obstacle courses, going out on the lake or to the beach. I like reading music and I crochet. My husbands and I are health coaches and are working on our personal health goals. My family is most important to me. I have 2 young girls and husband of 19 years. We love our animals and have 2 dogs and 2 cats “ The Johnson Zoo”. I have brothers in MD , VA and AL which we love going to visit their families. I want to become a counselor to better understand those I work with now and to acquire the skills to help others in a positive way. So many people need counseling and in my personal life I’ve seen how short staffed we are in counseling. I want to be positive light and a part of the change to provide great care to my community.
