And this is for a Fourth of July fun little pie that we're going to make. Sounds fun. Hence the colors. Nice. We have a floured surface and we're just going to start rolling this out. Wanted a little bit bigger because we will be using a deep dish pie pan today. Alright, let's take it over to our pie dish. And I see you have a lot of flour on there. I assume that's so it doesn't stick to the counter huh? Exactly. Now we're going to start forming this to the pan, dish, whatever you want to call it. And that is a deep it is. Isn't it? Let me see. Thanks to our friend Julie. Thanks Julie. That we borrowed this from. And got the recipe from too. Perfect. Now I've used a fork to prick the bottom and the sides because we don't want this crust to shrink. So wish me luck. Good luck. Thanks. Okay. To the oven we go. It's preheated on 425 and this will bake about 10 to 12 minutes till golden. Alright it's been 11 and a half minutes. And it looks golden to me. Mhm. And yay it didn't shrink too much. That looks good. Alright. So we are going to let this cool completely and then we'll be back to fill it up and make it pretty. First we're going to use four ounces of white baking chocolate. We're just going to throw these in this bowl. Take it to the microwave and we're going to melt this but be careful it doesn't scorch. Now that it's melted, we have eight uniform in size strawberries that we've cut in half straight through the stem and we're going to take each half and dip it in the chocolate and place it on some parchment paper. Now, these will go in the fridge for about 15 minutes or til the chocolate is set. Nothing close. Take our pie crust and we're going to scrape the rest of this chocolate into the bottom. Ooh, That sounds like a good base for any pie huh? It does. Uh chocolate on anything. Yes. Wow. Alright. Not only did we coat the bottom but we spread some up along the sides too as recommended by our friend. Looks good. It does. Okay, next we have a quart of fresh strawberries that we've sliced and we're just going to start layering them in the bottom of this pan dish. That's a lot of strawberries. We probably won't use them all. Mm. Good. I'll have some that'll be perfect for me. Okay. That's alright. Okay, that looks good. We're going to set it aside and then we have a bowl with eight ounces of cream cheese softened and we're just going to mix that till it's smooth. Now we have three cups of cold milk that I'm going to gradually add. Like three quarters of a cup. Is that what I said? Okay. Sorry. It's close enough. Three quarters of a cup. Yeah. Three quarters of a cup. Next, we are adding one small white chocolate instant pudding mix. There's a white chocolate cream with it. There is. And we're going to mix this till blended. Now we take our filling and start putting it on top of the strawberries. Yum. Looks really. It's pretty thick. Really summery huh? It does. And very Fourth of Julyish. Very I love it. I do too. It's fun. Next, we have a cup and a half of fresh blueberries that are rinsed and drained and we're going to start placing these around the topping or on top of the topping. On top of the filling. There we go. I'm I'm having word trouble today. Now we have a cool whip. Recipe set a cup. We're just winging it. You want to use a piping bag or if you have one of these fancy dodads that our friend Les borrow. You're just going to pipe along the outside. Ooh that's going to look so fancy huh? I do feel fancy. Now that that's done, we get our strawberries with the chocolate that we had dipped and we just start putting them around the edge. So good, huh? It is. Oh, it's going to look so Fourth of Julyish. Alright, here it is completed. It it looks great. It looks amazing actually. Yeah. I love it. It's that time Scott. Let's see how this tastes. I mean we saw what went into it right? Yeah. It should be great. That's true. It's so funny because I I can't see where I'm cutting. Everything's literally in the way. There's a lot in there. There is. I'm going to cut in between these strawberries. And I I don't know like if I'm getting through the crust or not. But we'll find out. Yeah. Let's give it a shot. See if we can get this out of here. Here it comes. There it is. It's coming. Wow. Look at that. Here, I'll turn around. You can see inside there. Oh, great idea. Yes, that looks great. Mhm. I think it does. What a great summertime dessert. Mm hmm. 4th of July. Yes. Perfect. Alright, let's give it a shot and see how it is. Dig in. I will. I love all the blueberries and the strawberries. It's falling apart. Oh no. That's okay. It's all going to the same place. Super refreshing. Is it? Mhm. Okay. Mhm. And if you're at a picnic outside and it's hot and you run around and you grab a piece of this it's like a little little refreshing air conditioning for your mouth and stomach. Now it's really good. (32 servings total). Press each square into bottom of a mini muffin tin. Using a hand mixer, mix together cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. It JIGGLES! | By Emmymade | Going to be tackling the much requested Japanese Jiggly Cheesecake. On medium low heat, we're going to melt our cream cheese, butter, and Okay. So, and now we're going to separate our eggs. Take the egg, crack it, crack the egg, gently lift the yolk, This way I find I reduce the chances of breaking the yolk because we don't want any yolk in our meringue. We're going to save six of these yolks for the recipe. 13 egg whites. So let's go ahead and get our pan ready. We have to line it with parchment in half. Take Snip that. Alright, there we go. Next, we're going to make the meringue. So, pour our 13 egg wipes into our bowl. And when it's ready, you should be able to dump it over your head and we're going to add it to our eggs. We're going to whisk that together because we love that to cool off. It's not going to cuddle our egg yolks. So whisk that really well. And now we're going to sift in our flour and Now the cornstarch. This fat in. Okay. One teaspoon of vanilla. Directions. Now, we put our ring back in. Now, we're going to combine our meringue into our flour and egg mixture. Here's a third of it. Under flip over. Under flip over. A little bit more. It can be here. Now, we're going to place the batter into the mold Oh, that's beautiful. So, I'm going to give a couple swift taps. Now, we're going to use a bigger pan. Place this in this pan. And some hot water to fill up half the side of the pan. Alright, go back in the oven. Have a good time. So that's going to bake for 25 minutes at 320 degrees. We're going to reduce the temperature down to 280 and cook it for another 55 minutes. Alright. That's a big tall cake. Alright, the moment we have all been waiting for, the unveiling of the jiggly cake. Here is my beautiful cake. I'm so excited about this. It looks beautiful. It's risen like mad and lift this off. Yes. Whoo. Look at that. I could watch you jiggle all day. I did have some cracking on this side so it's not exactly perfect but we'll just look at this side. Alright, here is the beautiful jiggly cake. There we go. Yeah, I'm so happy about this. Cut we must. So, it's been out of the oven now for at least 10 to 12 minutes and it hasn't collapsed which I'm stoked about. As I mentioned before, I had to add an additional half an hour of cooking to this to make sure it was cooked. Oh yes. Foamy. Cooked all the way through. No layer of warm, fluffy, kind of custardy, definitely has a pronounced eggy flavor, sweet without being overly sweet, and it has a good cream cheese flavor in there too but not overly heavy. Not at all like a New York style cream cheese at all. This is much more like a chiffon or an angel food cake. Fluffy, light, airy, foamy. Okay so I'm going to let this cool completely at least four hours in the refrigerator and then I'll taste it again hey everybody so it's been about six hours since I made this beautiful cake completely cooled it did settle a little bit but it's still pretty high Mm. That is so good. And in fact I like it better cold. It doesn't taste as eggy now that it's cooled off. Instead you taste more of the butter and the sweetness and it's just phenomenal. The texture is wonderful. Excellent and delicious cake. I highly recommend it if you have the patience to put it together. It does take some effort.
