VIA 6400 VIA Rail EMD F40PH at Charny, Quebec, Canada by Mart
Steve Young Photo: The lead units of the westbound “Canadian” block the depot at Field. Snow removal equipment waits for another season. The blue roofed building in the background is the Yoho National Park Visitor Center. | Railpictures.ca – Canadian Railway Photography – photographie ferroviaire Canadienne.
A.W. Mooney Photo: High over the mouth of the Seguin River, VIA 6525, 6653 and 6519 hustle the Toronto section of the “Canadian” over the Parry Sound trestle. What a great view from that baggage car!! Georgian Bay water level looks extraordinary high compared to what I usually witnessed there. Very satisfying image; so went for ice cream at the dock after the train cleared. Lead unit later became AC 1754, trailing unit was retired and the middle unit, 6653, was former CP 1905, also retired by 1990. Note some of the old CP Red beginning to bleed thru. | Railpictures.ca – Canadian Railway Photography – photographie ferroviaire Canadienne.
