Velli loves dimension hopping. Cronan had the ingenious idea to go dimension hopping on Halloween, so they could get infinite amounts of candy! And it worked so well, they got so much loot.

But on their way home, the duo ran into a group of... turtle Yokai? Or were they mutants, like Velli? He wasn't sure, but their costumes looked snazzy!

Velli loves dimension hopping. Cronan had the ingenious idea to go dimension hopping on Halloween, so they could get infinite amounts of candy! And it worked so well, they got so much loot.

But on their way home, the duo ran into a group of... turtle Yokai? Or were they mutants, like Velli? He wasn't sure, but their costumes looked snazzy!

Adri was rushing as fast as he could. Practically running on four which startled whole family once he arrived to the kitchen. When they asked what's wrong Adriaen couldn't answer, mostly because he soon realized that he can't get a word, only chirping. It reminded him those times when he did that constantly before he was found by Leo and slowly learn to speak. Even a small thought of Leo put him in frenzy when he remembers the poor little slider lying on floor with a fever. He tries to say something, anything but it seems his voice was stuck in throat. And it seemed to hurt utter even a sound. Is this what non-verbal people going through? But he can't be non-verbal! Not now! Not when Leo needs help. He felt hot tears filling his eyes, but then Donnie pit hand on his shoulder to get his attention and used his sign language to say three important words; calm, breathe, safe. It worked like a charm and Adri felt more calmer than before. He still couldn't talk aside from chirping, so he used a sign language to communicate as he finger spelled L-E-O and then signed a word 'HELP'. The others immediately understood the situation (mainly Donnie and Splinter) and they were quickly led little wild turtle. As they walk to the Leonardo's room they suddenly heard quiet distressed chirp and Adriaen immediately rushed on all four followed by others. Their eyes widened in worry once they arrived to blue too see Adriaen nuzzling a very sick little turtle.

Brothers: LEO!😰

Splinter stopped them before he come and cradle his child in his arms.

Splinter: Leonardo? Can you hear me?(He spoke in gentle voice although his eyes showed obvious concern. Leo thankfully responded as he grunted while opening his tired eyes.

Leo: Daddy? (He asked a little disoriented)

Splinter: I'm here.

Leo: D-Daddy. (He said with as he buried his head into dad's furry chest for comfort)

Splinter: Oh my Baby Blue. Don't worry your daddy's here. (He said while rubbing his shell.)

Leo: I don't feel good sniff

Splinter: I know. Let's get you to a clean a bed and give you a tea.

They put put him in a Medbay, giving a medicine with a warm tea, putting a wet cloth on his burning forehead.

Splinter: Now rest Blue, tomorrow will check on your temperature.

However Leo protested.

Leo: But I don't want to be alone. Sniff, I can't lose you. Please don't leave me sob.

Splinter: Oh Leonardo. You are not alone. We are here and we'll be there for you no matter what.

Leo: sniff, You pinkie promise?

Splinter: Pinkie promise.

Brothers: Pinkie promise.

Adriaen didn't say a word but he raised his hand with a pinkie up saying he promise too.

Everyone went back to sleep while also cleaning the vomit in Leo's room. However Adriaen didn't move as he insisted to stay. He was serious about the pinkie promise and he wanted to be there when Leo needs him. And thankfully he was glad he did as one night Leo seemed to have a bad dream and Adri hold his hand telling him that's he's here and he's not alone. Leo felt calm and the bad dream disappeared replacing by warm he felt.

They both slept peacefully. Thankfully Adri didn't get sick from Leo and the slider seemed better. Still little under weather but thankfully nothing life threatening. Whatever Leo caught it was slowly getting away. Adri still didn't leave his side, which Leo appreciated as he muttered.

Adri only smiled and still holding Leo's hand before both of them fell in a dreamless yet comfortable sleep

(But there are questions that remain unanswered. What caused all of this? And how it will affect the future for the poor innocent unfortunate souls?)

There is my final part

Sorry it took me a while. I have to thank Rise March challenge to give me a push since 5th March was Leo day I said myself why not.

Now if you are wondering where did I get that idea here is the answer.

This is little piece that was left forgotten.

It kinda makes me wonder if there was more behind or if that missing would play a bigger role if the show wasn't on pause. I mean the Shredder is pretty much important character in franchise so I doubt he's gone after season 2 finale. What if he could return possessing someone else? What if the missing part got inside Leo? The reason why he was sick (this is pretty much similar to Peter Parker getting bitten by radioactive spider or Eddie Brock having absorbed Venom symbiote in his body.) Leo is pretty much vessel for Shredder like Naruto for Kurama, a backup for his return. Maybe Shredder once again return but either as possessing Leo or when the gets out of Leo, then as a Krang (I mean the TMNT 2003 did something similar I think and it wouldn't be out of question considering that dark armor DID come from them!)

And fr tho, I always thought the missing piece of the armor was actually inside Leo’s foot. Like I could just imagine the possibilities of what could’ve happened if we had gotten more seasons with Rise.

Part 3

Splinter: Boys, do you know where is Blue?

It was the first thing in the morning Splinter asked after bringing pancakes he made with Orange, noticing his other son's absence. Raphael, Donatello and Adriaen shooked their heads. Michelangelo also shook his head along. Splinter hummed while stroking his goatee. Is he still sleeping? That is unlikely of him. He never skips a family breakfasts. The rat father couldn't shake the bad feeling crawling inside his gut. And he wasn't only. Raph was trying to not bit hard on his lip with his snaggletooth. His big brother instinct were on alert since yesterday. Even Donnie's twin sense (even though he would dismissed it as an unscientific non-sense) were ringing. Mikey might not have those instincts like his older brothers, but emotional child could feel worry, including his own. And Adriaen, he might not show it, but he was getting concerned too. Normally they would think nothing, but they couldn't shake how off was Leo acting yesterday. Turtle boys were wondering if Leo was feeling guilty for that teapot. But then they thought nah, that's ridiculous. Besides the teapot was fixed (technically and weirdly somehow). Splinter who was unaware of it assumed Leo was just tired. So they waited a little. But after ten minutes later he still haven't showed up.

Splinter: Can someone please go bring fetch him?

Adriaen: I'll go. (He said as he stood up from chair and left the kitchen)

As Adri walked towards Leo's room, he couldn't shake the feeling that something is wrong. Stop it Adriaen, you're just being paranoid, he thought as he tried ignored the dread in his gut, but it just wouldn't go away. If anything it felt stronger each time he took next red eared slider's room. He shook his head to get rid off those nasty thoughts once again and kept reminding; Leo is fine, he just sleeping in his bed like a lazy turtle kid, who don't want to wake up.

…Wheeze…

Adri thoughts as well as his steps halted when he heard something. It was quiet almost hard to hear, but it sounded like… a raspy breathing.

Adri: …Leo?… Is that you? (He asked unsure as continued walk towards Leo's room) Are you still sleeping or are you awake now?… Breakfast is ready and everyone just waiting for you. I came to pick you up. (He waited for answer that didn't come, only raspy wheezing that made him uneasy) Come on Leo answer me at least. (He said annoyed to hide his concern as he went inside.)

However after entering he gagged and quickly covered his nose. Yuck, what is that smell?!, he thought repulsed by that nasty smell. It was worse than Raph's freaking out stink or one of Donnie's chemical experiments. And for some reason it makes him to throw up. And maybe he might do it if he haven't heard the raspy breathing. It sounded close and… familiar. A chill ran through spine.

He backed to a wall fumbling his hand around until it found the switch. When he flicked it to light on, he covered his mouth, still letting out small gasp as his widened eyes found on something shocking. What he saw was a red eared slider tot curled on ground next to a vomit that definitely was a source of the foul smell. It was Leo.

Adri: LEO! (He rushed towards him all panicking.) Leo what's wrong?! Please speak to me! Leo!

However Leo didn't respond, actually he was barely breathing let alone could say a word. His face was scrunched as he was in pain. He noticed how his body was covered in sweat and was very pale, even his stripes looked more dark pink than red. Yet his cheeks were flushed in red. Adriaen also noticed how Leo was trembling. That can't be good.

The black striped turtle wanted to comfort his friend as was about rub his shell, but reeled back in shock at the hot touch. But why was Leo saying he's cold? He quickly put other hand Leo's forehead to check. He was burning up. Wait a minute… Is he sick? No wonder his cheeks were flushed on pale face, or why he was sweating. Or why there's a vomit here.

But how? And why? He was fine yesterday wasn't he?

Chirp

Adriaen's thoughts were interrupted as he heard Leo chirping. They barely chirped and Adri grew out of it (mostly). But they were cases where sometimes do that instinctively. It was quiet, but Adri could catch what was Leo chirping.

Cold… Hurt… Scared… Help.

Adri instinctively chirped back once again went rub his shell without hesitation time.

Safe…Not worry… Safe… I'm here… Not alone

Leo's face relaxed and the black striped turtle could see tears on slider's face. He also realized he was crying too as he felt warm tears on cheeks. Probably from panicking. He can't stay here. He needs help. Leo needs help. He was about to leave, but Leo started chirping in panic at loss of warm touch.

Adriaen heard him and quickly return to consol him by caressing his cheek.

Adri: I'm not leaving. I'll be back,I promise. Just hang in there (he said. Or actually chirped unbeknownst to him, but it seemed it worked as Leo calmed down a little. He slowly let go and rushed to the kitchen for help.

also…I WAS SO SURPRISED BY THE LEO AND ADRIAEN DRAWING! Adriaen looks so cute (even if he is worried about Leo in that pic, BUT STILL)

Splinter: Thank you my honest boys. Now... DO NOT TOUCH MY STUFF!😡 Capiche?🤨

Boys: Eep! Yes dad!😰😰😰😰😰

Splinter: 🤨😁Good. Now if you excuse me I'm gonna make some tea and enjoy the show. Have fun, but do not disturb me.

Splinter finally let go off breath they didn't they were holding.

Boys: Phew 😮‍💨

Raph: That was close eh guys?

Others: 😠😠😠😠

Raph: Oh... Right.😥

Adri: Next time, don't throw at us a freaking teapot!

Donnie: Seriously what were you thinking?!

Raph: I'm sorry! It was a first thing Raph grabbed and didn't think of it much!

Leo: Hey relax, we fixed didn't we? It's okay now.

Adri: Do you really think a plastic toy will work?

Mikey: It was a limited version of Jupiter Jim figure. Of course it will.

Donnie: Dear Angelo, that figure is made of literally 100% plastic so once Papa is gonna make a tea it will definitely m-

Leo put his hand on twin's mouth before he could say anything that would upset their little brother.

Leo: No need to buzzkill Dee (Donnie growled at that, but Leo continued), I mean everything is fine. No harm do-OW!

Suddenly Leo yelped in mid-sentence as he felt a sharp pain on right foot. He let go off Donnie's mouth and instinctively grabbed Adriaen and used him as his crutch. Adri didn't hesitate to help as he startled by slider's painful cry.

Raph: Leo! Leo are you okay?

Leo: Ow my foot hurts.

Adri: You're bleeding!

Indeed Leo's foot was bleeding small drops. It wasn't anything serious but poor little Mikey who had no idea panicked.

Mikey: Waahhh Leo is gonna die!😭

Donnie: Don't be ridiculous Mikey, Leo just accidentally cut himself. Probably from the missing piece. (Though he couldn't stop shaking from anxiety at the sight of blood)

Leo: Yeah, don't worry Angie. I'll be fine

Raph: That's right. But first we need treat your wound. Adriaen, could you bring a first aid kit please?

Adri: On it.

So they clean Leo's wound and put a cool Jupiter Jim blue bandage on it. They looked for the missing piece, but couldn't find it anywhere. Donnie said after looking that his dum dum brother must have kicked it away when he stepped on it and freaked out (Leo protested on that last part). They decided to let it go and went to sleep as it was getting late. And besides they already solved the teapot disaster.

Everything was fine.

Everything was NOT fine. Oh they had no idea how everything is not fine. Why? Because the next day at morning during breakfast, the boys Raph, Donnie, Mikey along with their dad followed a distressed Adriaen who couldn't stop chirping in panic as he dragged them to Leo's room to find their red eared slider brother in question, lying on floor next to vomit with sweating face burning red from high fever.
