It’s Marin Strick with the MetaBoost Connection and I am super excited because we are doing a Turmeric Lemonade. It’s summer. It’s getting hot. It’s getting spicy outside and we want a spice filled Lemonade that not only helps boost the body’s natural metabolism but has all kinds of awesome me influencer ingredients but as always, what’s your name and where you’re coming from and what are you doing this summer? Anything fun? Exciting. share. I always love to see everybody’s activities and what you’re doing especially with your kids just because I’m always doing things with my kids and I feel like all I do is things with my kids. So, so go ahead and share that stuff because I’d love to see who is on but let’s get into this turmeric tea. So, we have done a golden milk recipe. We’ve done like lattes and coffees and teas and hot milks and things like that but it is summer so we need something cooling, something refreshing, and something that gives us the same benefits awesome. Detoxifying teas but it’s not hot because nobody wants to drink a hot beverage right now when it’s super hot outside. So, what we have is a lemon which we’re using the juice for. We’re having black pepper. We’ve got Turmeric, we’ve got honey, and we’ve got ginger Now, all of these ingredients combined are going to give us a natural fat-burning elixir that we can have anytime, anywhere. We can throw it in the fridge but we’re only going to make a cup of this. What you can also do is make a giant picture of it and if you do that, you want, you’re going to want to make sure that we heat up the ingredients and then we chill it and then you can have it as like a tea, a big pitcher of tea, like almost like a Alberta, you know, water filter or something like that. So, what we’re going to do is just do eight ounces of water here but I want to start with the lemon. So, if the lemon is, yeah, I’ve been rolling this. You see how it’s tell me like rolling in between my hands because that’s going to help let the juices come out of the the actual fruit. So, I’ve got a strainer in case you guys have a bunch of seeds coming out so you don’t have to dig them out, Okay, So, the juice of an entire lemon. So, you can squeeze that as much as you can. I’m making sure I’m not getting all of those seeds in there but definitely using the lemon for the citrus because that’s really going to help detox our bodies and then we are going to use a tablespoon of honey. So, if you like honey, then that’s great. You can use a tablespoon if you don’t like honey as much or it’s too sweet. You can use less. Really. We don’t need ton of measurements here. Again, this is more for our bodies and it can be easy. We want it to be easy. We want to be like, oh, we have to level this off. That’s too much lemon. If you’re working like that, it’s not great. So, that’s the oven. I’ve been baking a bunch of stuff. So, let’s see what we got. It’s done. Just was letting us know it’s done. It’s fine. You don’t have to worry about that one. It’s done. Yes, I hear you. Thank you. It’s done. It’s done now. Okay. so we’ve got our lemons get a little bit more lemon juice out of there. Okay. perfect. Now, we’re going to go a teaspoon of dried ginger. So, the dried ginger, really easy. If you can get fresh ginger, I would say go ahead and peel it and maybe two or three quarter inch slices. So, doing a teaspoon of ginger, then, I want to go that tablespoon of honey. So, I’m not going to use an actual measuring tablespoon. I’m just going to do probably about half of this. You know, I’m not a huge fan of making something sweet because I don’t think it needs it with this type of drink. I’m just trying to try and get a little bit more often and just kind of let it sit in there a little bit. Then, we’re going to go a teaspoon of turmeric. So, what I don’t want to do is dump this entire thing in there. So, if you need to take the top off and then you can measure it out that way because it can make a really big mess because this is orange and it will definitely stay in your hands. So, teaspoon one to two teaspoons. Then, we’re going to go black pepper. So, with black pepper, the reason why we add it to the turmeric is because it makes it more bioavailable in your body So, Turmeric with with Biore. You probably see a lot That’s just Turmeric with black pepper. I know it’s crazy, right? It’s crazy. So, I’m going to go ahead and it’s going to be about a teaspoon. So, just grinding some black pepper in there. So, kind of letting these ingredients sit and now without even the water, you can see how that color comes up. Okay. Now, we’re going to go about six to eight ounces of water and also the reason to that you might want to heat this up. If you’re doing a really big jug of it is the honey you’re going to want the honey to kind of get warm and and melt in between turmeric and ginger but that is how you make an anti-inflammatory fat burning elixir Lemonade. That is so delicious, So refreshing. We’re going to just finish off with a little bit of this lemon zest. make it fancy and that’s it. You can chill this. You can make a really big like AA. big picture of it. You can have it overnight then you can enjoy it all throughout the day to help not only curb the body’s appetite but also help boost the fat burning potential. I’ve got fats and people think that fat is bad fat is not bad. It’s just need the right fats in our diet to make sure we are boosting our natural metabolism and supporting all of our body’s biggest functions. So let’s get into this awesome recipe We’ve got an avocado chickpea salad. chickpeas are also garbanzo beans in case. Somebody’s wondering what chickpeas are as always what’s your name where you’re coming from and do you love avocados. and if you don’t love avocados, why is it the texture of it? The taste is it what’s about it because just an avocado alone has so many amazing Omega three fatty acids the feta cheese has phosphorus and calcium and the combination of these two because feta is a lighter cheese. You’re substituting the more fats in the avocado paired with this feta, so it is just an. Amazing combination for your body. We also have the chickpeas or garbanzo beans, so we use about a can of these these little guys. same thing thing that hummus is out of if you guys didn’t know that fun little fact. amazing source of protein, especially for vegans, everyone’s saying. Okay. I don’t eat meat. I don’t eat fish. I don’t really like eggs. What do I do for protein? That’s not a nut butter beans beans are really great for your body cuz they’re gonna give you all of that protein. And paired with the cheese and the avocado and also a little super super herb cilantro, Some people don’t like cilantro, sometimes it tastes like soap because of the way that it interacts with the enzymes in your mouth If you don’t like cilantro, use parsley totally fine, it’s green looks the same chop it up. It’s all good and also you’re going to be using lime so lime is gonna be our dressing and actually the lime will activate. The avocado to kind of bring out those fats because it really what it really does. is it gives you that acid flavor right? so let’s put it all in together. Super simple let’s take about a can or a half a can of chickpeas garbanzo beans you’re gonna take one avocado chopped up diced can be a rough chop and we’re not using lettuce. So this is like a really hearty salad. then you’re gonna take whoa quarter cup. See what happens quarter cup of feta cheese Sprinkle it in. You’re gonna take about a third of a cup of cilantro or parsley. and finally. Little bit of lime juice so little bit of lime juice I take an entire lime but it depends on how juicy your lime is right. When you’re doing this, you just wanna make sure that if you do cut it before you roll it cuz then you get a little bit more juice. Wow a little bit more juice out of it so get it in there. I’m just gonna use half for now so now that my hands. are sanitized with lime juice you guys can see it’s an awesome simple salad that not only supplies your body with healthy fats and calcium and. Phosphorus and Omega three fatty acids, but it also tastes really great and gives you that feeling of being full and satisfied without necessarily adding inches to the waistline.
