Mars Incorporated produced the chocolate-covered granola known as Kudos Bars. Nutty fudge, chocolate chip, and peanut butter were the three flavors offered when they were first introduced in 1986. Although the initial goal was to provide a healthy candy bar substitute, the original formulation of the bar was much more candy bar-like and placed less emphasis on the granola.
