Great idea, maybe more doable than the nesting cans

Another great All About Me activity that is very personal is to make silhouette outlines of all the kids. Then each child fills in their silhouette using single words that describe themselves. I did this All About Me activity for the first time this summer. Encouragingly, the kids really liked it. My students were thoughtful in their word choice and quite artful in putting their choosen words into their silhouette. The final results were stunning and personal.

1. Make flipbooks with 6 flaps and write on each flap, (My House, My City, My State, My Country, My Continent, and My Planet). 2. Have students look up pictures to fill out flip books or print cut outs for the students to use 3. Have students color their own picture of their home. 4. Have a class discussion about choices and the impact the choices of where their family lives had on them.
