I’ve been holding on to this buffet for a long time pondering how to finish it, and obviously it had to be blue!!! I painted it with Chalk Paint®️by Annie Sloan in Oxford Navy and Greek Blue. After a coat of Clear Wax, I accented the details and restored the front legs with Black Chalk Paint®️Wax. For a little highlight, I dry brushed Louis Blue on the details. Lovely painted buffet found in antique store today. Dark, almost navy, blue (darker than the photo) felt like chalk paint, and top was a dark, almost black, rubbed on stain or paint/stain combo. Inside reveals it is an old mahogany dresser or buffet. Picture doesn't do it justice, actual item would make quite a room statement

Antique Dresser - Annie Sloan Chalk paint - Napoleonic Blue (with a bit of black added)

This beautiful dresser made by Kindel was the top of the line in the early to mid twentieth century. We have given it an update by painting the case in a custom union blue mix, then topcoated it and created a custom glaze with mineral spirits and black wax to give the body depth and a richer darkness. The drawers were left in their natural state and cleaned and then polished with ground pumice, rottenstone and parafin oil to really show off the original beautiful finish.
