First, we are coating the pork with a simple rub consisting of dried oregano, ground cumin, and 1 tbs of avocado oil, 1 tbs oregano and 2 tsp of cumin. Add your pork to your slow cooker along with 1 yellow onion 🧅, 3-4 garlic cloves, 1 jalapeño, 2 teaspoons salt, 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice, and 5 tablespoons of orange juice to slow cooker and cook low for 6 hours. When carnitas are done in slow cooker sear in pan before adding to tortillas. I love using pork in the slow cooker because it’s a great source of protein and shreds so easily. Recipe: -Put chuck roast in the crockpot -season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, and steak seasoning - empty a ranch packet, brown gravy mix, and onion soup mix into the crockpot -dice 1 small onion -add petite carrots (quantity of your choosing) -cover in beef broth -cook on high for 4-5 hours (longer if it’s a larger roast) If you want your gravy thicker, make a quick roux with butter and flour and add to the brother 10-15 minutes before serving.
