Wayne Thiebaud Jolly Cones How to Draw
This how to draw lesson is inspired by the deliciously sweet artwork of Wayne Thiebaud- especially his Jolly Cones (2000) and Clown Cones (2002). Designed as an introduction to the artist, with reinforcement that shapes can create anything in art, students in grades PreK-1 learned how to create fun faced ice cream. The best part? Decorating and coloring in the ice cream creations! Included in this lesson include: -How to step-by-step drawing of a Jolly Cone -Two 8.5 x 11 posters of Jolly Cone (2000) and Clown Cones (2002) -Teacher suggestions for a larger scaled project
Art Lesson Plan "Snowman Selfie"
"Snowman Selfie" This is a fun lesson I did with my drawing students on One Point Linear Perspective, and what I call “The Three Planes of Drawing:” Foreground, Mid ground, and Background. This lesson was named by one of my younger students, because it had never occurred to me that it looks precisely like a snowman taking a selfie, who would’ve thought! If you have an interest in the art lesson plan, please let me know.
