Handmade slab built ceramic box. I rolled the impression into the slab, then I cut the pieces and assembled it when the clay was leather hard. Its size is 4 1/2 length, 2 in depth and height. It is glazed in chameleon grey-green, one of my favorite glazes. Ceramic boxes that are hand made are often called puzzle boxes, the lid often fits on the base one way. This is true for most of my boxes. I have marked one side of the box with a small dot to help align the lid to the base.
