Thank you @laurenrennells for the inspiration to try this #1940shair look. Rather than a swoop on one side I did a few victory rolls instead because why not? 🙂

How to, part 1
1. Section out the front section of hair (where your bangs would be) and clip the rest out of the way. We curl this section first so it has the longest time for curls to set.
2. Curl the front section using a 1-inch wand, curling up toward your crown and away from your face. Clip curls into place with double prong curl clips.
3. Repeat until all of your hair has been curled and clipped.
4. Allow curls to cool. I usually use this ti 1940s Half Up Half Down Hair, 1940s Hair With Bangs, Victory Rolls With Bangs, Long 1940s Hair, Easy Vintage Hairstyles For Long Hair, 1940s Bangs, Vintage Half Up Half Down Hair, 1940s Hairstyles Tutorial, 60s Curly Hair

I finally got around to doing a proper pincurl set on my newly cut hair! I had it cut to the classic, 40s "Middy" length; similar to what Lauren Bacall and Gene Tierney sported in the 40s. These pictures were taken right before the rain started--and the humidity made the curls droop a bit. :( (Despite using a good setting lotion!) I need to fiddle with the pincurl set a bit more, plus I'm having trouble with getting the back rows to completely dry (even after being in a set for 12 hours!)…
