Here are a few paintings from last week on the Croatian island of Vis. This trip I was actually there for another project, and the weather was bad a couple of days, so I didn’t get a lot of my own…

Click Here to Bid I LOVE painting eggshells. I could do it all day. I saved these from my breakfast. My husband said, "It's kind of weird that you have eggshells on a plate. And sugar?" But they go together so well, don't they? "Yes, they do. And I guess that's all that matters." Good husband.

It is Alice’s intention through her paintings to embrace and document the often quiet, or simple and ordinary moments of day-to-day domestic life at home and in her garden. Predominately a figurative and semi-realist oil painter, Alice’s paintings are characterised by an expressive play between light, shape and colour conveyed through lively brush strokes and mark making.
