Lauren Jansen | DIY on Instagram: "DIY Storage Coffee Table! I found some similar coffee tables online that I loved… but I didn’t love the price points. So I decided to build one myself! I stacked 2 24” round edge glued panels on each other, nailed and glued them together. Then added a 36” round on top! Next, I cut down 28 6’ long, 3/4” wide dowel rods to 14”. I used hot wood glue to glue them on (making sure each was level). I used 140 total 14” dowel pieces 😳. I got wood glued them on the bottoms and sides and am shocked at how strong this glue is! I did end up flipping it upside down and adding nails through the bottom for extra stability. Next, I added a few supports inside the table and glued stoppers to the back of another 36” round. This will be my removable top!
