Raw Lucuma and Cranberry Cinnamon Buns [Vegan, Raw, Gluten-Free]
My very first job was at a bakery, and I always remember the aroma of the freshly baked cinnamon buns! These of course a little different to those doughy, soft, pillowy rolls, alas, this raw version is still delicious, gooey and yummy, while also being good for you too! You can play with the ingredients a little, try adding some cacao for chocolate buns or using mulberries instead of cranberries- that is one of my favourite things about working with raw food- it really is so versatile!
Raw Ice Cream Sandwich [Vegan]
These are hella tasty and - as always - super healthy. The ice cream is literally just bananas, the brownie sandwich is walnuts and dates, and the chocolate coating is full of super foods! CAN THIS SITUATION BE IMPROVED IN ANY WAY? The answer is no. Except with the addition of kittens, but this should be assumed at all times.
Raw Caramel Pistachio Chocolate Frosted Doughnuts [Vegan, Gluten-Free]
Biting into these doughnuts is an experience you have to have. They are made from oats, almonds, and hidden superfoods like hemp and lucuma, which works with gooey dates to make the doughnuts taste like caramel. If that wasn't already drool-worthy enough, each doughnut is dipped in melted chocolate and then topped with raw pistachios. Yum!
Raw Almond Fig Bars [Vegan]
These are delicious! They remind me of raisin butter tarts. Imagine if a fig bar and a butter tart had a baby (don't worry about logistics here okay, humor me)... then make it raw and vegan and you've got one of these! Sweet, chewy, healthy - it doesn't get better than this, folks!
Raw Flower Coconut Sundae [Vegan]
This sundae consists of vanilla coconut ice cream, a salted chocolate sauce, pine nuts, flowers, and a few dates filled with fresh cashew butter. Seriously, I made the cashew butter while the ice cream was thawing. Needless to SAY - it was delicious! I shouldn't have eaten all of it but... well, you know me.
Raw Noritos [Vegan]
These little snacks are absolutely amazing in flavor, taste, and overall nutrition. They are a healthy alternative to regular chips and taste like Doritos. You remember Doritos? I sure do! I used to eat those things when I was a kid and was addicted to them. Crunchy and cheesy! When I read the ingredients list on a Doritos bag now, it horrifies me about what I put into my body. I didn’t know any better or about nutrition. If it tasted good to me, I ate it. Gone are those days, thank goodness!
Healthy Banana Split Dippin’ Dots [Vegan]
Remember Dippin' Dots? The little ice cream spheres were a mainstay at amusement parks across America. Sadly, they're full of sketchy ingredients like yellow #5, red #40, and high fructose corn syrup. Gross, right? Here's a raw, vegan version that tastes exactly like the Banana Split Dippin' Dots you remember from your childhood – but with none of those crazy additives!
Raw Pizza with Red Pepper Flax Crust [Vegan]
Who doesn’t love pizza? This is absolutely delicious and 100 percent good for you. It is a light, nutritious, filling meal that is positively bursting with fresh, real flavor. There are seriously no filler ingredients – only the good stuff that your body craves. Because the cheese needs time to age and the crust needs to be dehydrated so it can be crispy, you should plan the day you want to eat this a few days in advance.
Raw Carrot and Flax Crackers [Vegan]
If you like to juice, you know the dilemma about what to do with the pulp…especially beautiful, bright orange carrot pulp. Why, how about making some easy Raw Vegan Carrot and Flax Crackers that are grain-free, gluten-free and flourless! I’ve been guilty on more than one occasion of either being in a hurry or just too lazy to do anything with my juice pulp other than throw it away.
Crunchy Raw Protein Balls [Vegan, Gluten-Free]
I am so excited to share one of my original recipes with you! This easy Crunchy Raw Protein Ball recipe has to be in my top three favorites because it is simple to make and has so much nutrition packed into each tiny little chocolate ball. I created these when I first started eating raw foods to help with my sweet cravings.
Raw Mince Pies [Vegan, Gluten-Free]
I love the soft, crumbly texture of these Raw Mince Pie crusts, based on a combination of coconut flour and cashews. The recipe calls for a dehydrator to firm the crusts, but you can use your oven too, set to the lowest temperature.
Raw Habanero Pepper Crackers [Vegan, Gluten-Free]
If you want a healthy, raw snack that packs some heat, these Raw Vegan Habanero Pepper Crackers will do the job. They are great to eat with a salad, a healthy dip, or just plain. I topped half of them with sesame seeds and the other half with a sesame seed and chia seed combo.
3 Raw Food Recipes With Nutritional Yeast [Vegan]
Nutritional yeast or "nooch" is a staple in every vegan household. The taste is so yummy cheesy and all the vitamins, fiber and protein make this food not only fun to eat but good for you. Below I have a few raw dishes that showcase this superfood. Give them a try for some added delicious nutrients to your diet!
Raw Raspberry Cream Cheesecake [Vegan]
In this recipe, a creamy layer of vanilla cheesecake sits between a date-and-nut crust and a sweet raspberry layer. The result is a raw dessert with beautiful colors that's sweet, but not too sweet. This can be made into one big pie or four smaller ones — perfect for parties. Top each pie with fresh raspberries and mint leaves for an adorable presentation.
Homemade Raw Sauerkraut [Vegan]
This homemade raw vegan sauerkraut recipe is not only delicious and perfect for adding to any of your savory dishes, but it is also incredibly healthy. It contains naturally-produced good bacteria. They are critical for our gut health, which helps our mood, immune system, digestion, and so much more. Another great benefit of homemade raw vegan sauerkraut is that during the fermentation process, the small amount of salt used in the kraut will intensify in flavor.
