How to Make A Buttercream Transfer
Buttercream transfers are a great way to add any image to your cake design. Here’s how to make a buttercream transfer. Print your image, cover the image with a piece of parchment paper, then trace/outline the entire image. Place image into the freezer for 20-30 min to allow the outline to set, then begin to fill in your other colors. If there are multiple colors within the same section, freeze your image in between each color so they don’t blend together. Once you’ve filled in all of your colors, spread a layer of buttercream over the entire image, using the same color of your cake. Tip: Make sure that you print your image backwards, especially if the image contains letters/numbers, otherwise the image will be backwards when you lay it on top of your cake. Ingredients for the dough (20 mini pies)  330g all purpose flour  130g powdered sugar  Pinch of salt  150g cold butter, cubed  1 medium egg  1 egg yolk  1 tsp vanilla bean paste  Hazelnut spread (such as Bonne Maman Noisette)  Whisk together flour, salt and sugar.  Add eggs and vanilla and combine.  Add cold butter and mix until the dough comes together.  Wrap and refrigerate for 30 min.  Preheat oven to 180C degrees.  Roll out dough and cut out tartlet shapes.  Press dough into the mold and fill with hazelnut spread.  Bake mini tarts for 15 min.
