All you need a bowl with aluminum foil (shiny side out) and then mix a tablespoon of salt and a tablespoon of baking soda with a cup of warm water. Let your jewelry sit for 10 minutes (or forget about it like I did and come back an hour later) and rinse! #lifehack"

I have a simple DIY laundry stain remover recipe you can whip anytime those stains come for a visit so you can send them packing in a hurry. Mix together 1 part blue Dawn dish detergent and 2 parts hydrogen peroxide. Apply immediately to the stained areas. Allow this mix some time to penetrate the stains. Give it at least 30 minutes dwell time before washing. This stain remover is great for all kinds of dirt, makeup, food and grease stains. It’s also safe for colored fabrics so long as they are colorfast fabrics. To test for colorfastness, wet a cotton swab and rub it across the fabric. If any dye transfers onto the cotton swab, the fabric is

Seasonal Food Educator| Getty Stewart on Instagram: "Start the New Year with a cleanse! There’s nothing like a clean oven to get you off to a good start! 😄😉 Save and share this formula for DIY cleanser: 1 cup baking soda 1/3 cup hydrogen peroxide 1 Tbsp dish detergent Mix in jar to form a paste. Spread on glass and oven surface (not heating elements). Let sit 15 minutes or longer (even overnight) Scrub with nylon scrubber (I learned after the fact I wasn’t suppose to use steel wool!) Wipe away residue. If baking soda leaves a film, use vinegar and water for a final wipe. One batch is enough for a full oven. Make smaller batches for smaller cleanup jobs and make fresh every time. Works on tiles & grout, tubs and showers, sinks and faucets, floors, BBQs, patio furniture, and even t

Mix up this homemade cleaner and watch your tiles shine again! | By This Old House | Husband and I debated a lot over the tile and the color of the grout. Yeah. So, unfortunately, I lost that battle. Alright, what about the tile? Did you agree on the tile? Yes, the tile was a no-brainer. And this is what it used to look like. Uh huh. This is what it looks like now. Okay. Well, I understand why he wanted to use the light grout because it really blends in with the floor. If you use the dark grout, it would have celebrated all the squares and the floor could look very busy. Mm hmm. Now, have you tried cleaning it? Yes, many down on my hands and knees with a toothbrush. Okay. Well, the the light grout will stain. Uh did you seal it? Uh 4 years ago. Oh, so you've only sealed it once? The one time. Alright. So, that should be at least once a year, I would think. Alright. Alright. So, you know, we can try maybe something in your pantry and see if we can get this to clean. Pantry, alright. Alright, let's take a look. Alright, I think I found everything we need. I found some dish detergent, some baking soda, and some white vinegar and a plastic cup. Okay. Alright. So, I'm going to mix this together with some water. Why don't you pour the white vinegar on the grout line and let that soak in so good. Baking soda will add some grit to the whole thing. Help scrub it clean. Now I want to add a little bit of the dish detergent. We don't need a lot of in there. Alright, that's good. Don't do too much because we're going to be walking on a wet floor here. Okay. So, I've got this mixed up. I want you to take this and just pour it right where on top of all the vinegar that you lay down. Alright, so I'm going to give you this stiff brush that I got at the home center. It's bigger and stiffer than a toothbrush. Great. And we're going to just scrub those joints. Grits coming right out of there. Oh it already looks so much better. Yep. Coming out. Alright that looks pretty good. It's been sitting for about 5 minutes. Why don't you hit it one more time with the brush. Okay. And I'll just come behind you after you get it scrubbed and wipe it up with the sponge. Look at that. Getting all that grime and dirt right out of there. Awesome. Alright, so it's been about 45 minutes. The floor is dry. I think it looks pretty good. What do you think? It looks great. Alright, so that came off pretty easy but if you had an area that was stained and really hard to get up, you actually get a knife like this at the home center. It actually has a carbide tips on the knife and this is actually a knife that is used to remove the grout when you want to replace it. Okay. But if you have an area that stained like I said that's bad and you couldn't get clean it the way we did. Mm hmm. You take this and lightly go across top of the grout for those hard to get places. It should be able to wipe off the residue and with lock, you'd have that stain going. Alright. Alright, so now that the floor is dry, I got some sealer at the home center. It's got a little applicator in it. Okay. You're going to tip the bottle upside down and just drag it right across the joints and that should let it seal. Alright, that looks pretty good. That was pretty easy, right? It was. Okay, so now we want to wait about three or four hours for this to dry. Mm hmm. And you can do it today or tomorrow but a second coat but make sure you do it at least once a year. Alright, thank you very much. My pleasure. Enjoy your house.

Claire | SisterPledge on Instagram: "🚨 Cat pee emergency? 🐾 Here’s a quick hack to help when you’re in a pinch! Edit * YES this also works for dogs 🐕 Did you know that you can use Listerine Green mouthwash to clean up cat urine stains and smells? 💡 While I always recommend using a dedicated enzyme-based cleaner first (these break down the proteins in cat pee), if you’re in a rush or have tried everything else, this hack could be your backup plan! Here’s how to do it: ✨ Dilute Listerine Green in a 3:1 ratio (3 parts water, 1 part Listerine). ✨ Test the solution on a small, hidden area of your carpet or fabric first to ensure there’s no staining or damage. ✨ Apply the solution, blot (don’t scrub!), and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing with water. What makes Listerine G

The @bissellclean floor vacuum/washer . the design is simple, the parts easy to clean and anyone can use it I have an old marble floor in my kitchen . Four dogs live in my kitchen! Many people are in my kitchen every day! I am a clean fanatic! Rather than sweeping ( which raises dust ) , rather than vacuuming and then mopping , this machine does it all!!! And look in the last photos That is what it picked up this morning Dog hairs , a bit of dirt and a few crumbs All in three minutes!!!!!! This is an unpaid recommendation because I love the machine !!!!"
