This file was initially tagged by Mysterymanblue as Copyvio (copyvio) and the most recent rationale was: Per COM:Hirtle#Sound recordings, no sound recordings published outside the United States after 1922 have entered the public domain due to copyright expiration. Almost certainly a copyright violation. Undelete in 2039 at the earliest, unless the publication date is in a later calendar year compared to the recording date. Deleted: Commons policy requires that works be either in the public domain or covered by a valid free license in both the U.S. and the country of origin of the work. In addition, music may be protected by more than one copyright (most commonly separate copyrights may exist for the musical composition and sound recording).

In this case, this particular recording of Piano Concerto No. 25 in C major, K. 503 appears to have been recorded in 1938 and published by Decca Records in 1939 in the UK. Both the US and UK copyright for the musical composition by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791) are long since expired. The UK copyright term for a sound recording published in 1939 has expired. However, the US term of protection for a sound recording published in 1939 expires 100 years after publication (see specifically 17 USC § 1401 (a)(2)(B)(ii)). Undelete in 2040. —RP88 (talk) 02:54, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
