No evidence that Pakistani currency is PD. The relevant section in the Pakistan law would be, I think, s.57(1)(q)(i) (on what is not a copyright infringement) [reproduction of] any matter which has been published in any official Gazette, or the report of any committee, commission, council, board or other like body appointed by the Government unless the reproduction or publication of such matter or report is prohibited by the Government;. I would guess currency would be officially published, and I would guess that the reproduction of Pakistani money is prohibited by the government :) so in the absence of any more evidence, I'd say not OK. Commons:Currency doesn't have an entry for Pakistan; one should be created based on the outcome of this DR. Rd232 (talk) 10:48, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- FYI: There are quite a few images on Pakistani currency. File:Pakistan Currency Notes.jpg, File:PKR5000REV.jpg, and you can find the others here and here. User Mike35741 has uploaded most of these. I too looked for copyright laws in Pakistan regarding currency but couldn't find it specified. All these images need to be checked. Samar Talk 14:21, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
