- Early Apple Smartphones were placing such 57×57 icons on GUI display, while HTML w:en:Favicon (typically 16×16px) are dedicated to window title bar and tab list in browser.
- Gadget w:en:User:PerfektesChaos/js/paneMarker will use the red background to warn if a page is currently edited, and must not be closed by error, and remind that open processes still need to be terminated.
- No idea whether such Apple devices and such AppleTouch software support are still in use.

- Recollecting after a dozen of years, from deep layers in my brain:
- Favicon .ICO started in late 1990s with 16×16 BMP at text height.
- Later an alternative plane at 32×32 became possible, connected to text line.
- With iPod, they collapsed browser tabs and showed an icon on cell display. Now, they needed 60×60 with “round corners”.
- 32×32 resolution was not appropriate, details were not recognized.
- .ICO does not support officially any 64×64 until today.
- Best, --PerfektesChaos (talk) 11:39, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
