I'm working with Memorial Sloan Kettering and Juliana Thomas (the photographer of the image in question) to upload this photo to Commons for use on [[W:José Baselga]]. The declaration of consent for the file AbdulKarim Abdullah Al-Arashi.jpg was sent on the 02/04/18 and resent again on 10th. Thank you for understanding.--Aceat (talk) 21:58, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I sent approval for both those images, the aaprovals are from Oshra herself. Is there anything I should do more? I am helping her with this but I am now an expert... thanks! Heblit16 (talk) 22:53, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Heblit16, regarding to File:אשרה אלקיים רונן.tif You do have respond in your mail from 9 January 2018. If you don't speak Hebrew please say so. -- Geagea (talk) 03:28, 15 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Heblit16: For each, who is the photographer who took the picture? When and under what circumstances was the photo taken?   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 19:24, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Jeff According to Oshra herself, it was taken by a firend (who passed away a long time ago) and was given to her and everyone can use it since there are no rights. Heblit16 (talk) 16:33, 21 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Heblit16: It is likely that the rights of the friend passed to the friend's heirs or the state. Without permission from them, or documentation that the friend died more than 50-70 years ago per COM:CRT#Israel, we must apply COM:PRP, assume the heirs or state still hold those rights, and delete these photos.   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 17:57, 21 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Jeff, it was just a friend taking it for Oshra and gave it to her, if you will search online you will see the images also appear on http://archive.batsheva.co.il/heb/repertoire.php?act=photos&id=29. I am sire I can get them to approve as well if needed. The rights were never claimed and the friend gave Osra the negatives even... Heblit16 (talk) 12:07, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Jeff, I told Oshra about the whole thing and she contacted the man who took the pictuers's son. Which approval is needed? he is willing to help since he also knows it was given to her for by his father... please let me know asap since he lives in the us. thanks, Heblit16 (talk) 08:41, 23 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Heblit16: Please have him email us, copy you, and add the following to the subject bar of the email message: [Ticket#: 2018010910007254]. droits auteurs contesté par JCB pour image : Claude de Romefort, autoportrait 1942 jpg et l'image supprimée sans vérification préalable.

--Ruthven (msg) 12:09, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The copyright holder (son of author) has sent an email verifying that File:Perjalanan Hidup Saya.pdf is released under CC0 license. Can anyone verify? Also, the book does not have information regarding who made the book cover (pages 1-2, page 2 is the back cover which in turn contains the blurb which I regard as part of the book), will it be redacted from the uploaded file? Aumars (talk) 19:48, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Oppose If a free license has been sent to OTRS, then the image will be restored automatically when and if the e-mail is received, processed, and approved. Note that OTRS, like Commons, is entirely staffed by volunteers, and, also like Commons, is shorthanded, so it may be close to 3 days before the e-mail is processed and the image is restored.
If the message was sent to the English language version of OTRS and the e-mail has been properly received there the sender will receive an automatic reply with the ticket number. If the sender has not had a reply, please check that it was sent correctly and try again. Other language versions may or may not provide the automatic reply.  — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 10:10, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That didn't answer my question, so I'll assume leaving the first two pages of the PDF should be fine. Ticket number is Ticket:2018022510004028, the email registered the file as "Perjalanan_Hidup_Saya.pdf" although the real uploaded file doesn't contain underscores. I don't think the automated system will realise that, it would be great if an admin could do it manually for a minute. Thanks in advance. Aumars (talk) 10:31, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Underscores and spaces are equivalent in MediaWiki page names. In the visible form spaces are shown whereas respective canonical URLs contain underscores instead. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 17:28, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the information. May I have an update on the ticket? It's been more than two weeks since I've uploaded the file and there has been no response. I hope there are no problems with it. Aumars (talk) 12:11, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Aumars: Generally e-mails are answered in 2 months due to the lack of volunteers. You've received an answer now, please solve the issue with OTRS. --Ruthven (msg) 18:09, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

File:Brian Watson, candidate for Colorado State Treasurer 2018.jpg

Got a weird situation on File:Brian Watson, candidate for Colorado State Treasurer 2018.jpg, where the uploader has linked to a PDF version of the email they sent to OTRS nearly a year ago. Could someone please see if that email actually exists in OTRS, and if so, add the ticket number? Thanks, IagoQnsi (talk) 02:42, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Can't see the PDF, but I did find ticket:2017050510000021 which does not contain evidence of permission. The last email sent was by us in June 2017, with no response. --AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 16:56, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A question on partial uploads

Quick question on the OTRS process. I've reached out to a copyright holder about submitting an image they have onto Commons, and they're somewhat reluctant about handing over the whole image. They are, however, fine with uploading a portion of the work. The image itself is a group photo, and I'm after a cropped part of it to use as a portrait for a historic figure on Wikipedia- this is the bit they're willing to crop and donate.

Is this acceptable to you guys, or does he have no choice but to upload the whole image? What's the process/consensus here? I'm new to all this and I'm not sure where else to ask. - ක - (talk) 04:52, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Jesuschristonacamel: That is fine, as long as the EXIF metadata survives the cropping. If it doesn't, they can email us the whole file with EXIF metadata, and we can apply that to the crop.   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 05:25, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Jeff G.: Cheers! I'll get him to submit an OTRS ticket soon.- ක - (talk) 05:46, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Jeff G.: Quick follow-up: do I get him to mail you guys the image through OTRS, or will him uploading the image on Commons be ok? The entire image is on his personal website with a watermark. Additionally, how do you verify the uploader is who they say he is unless they submit an OTRS ticket? - ක - (talk) 16:12, 21 March 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jesuschristonacamel (talk • contribs) [reply]
@Jesuschristonacamel: It depends on what you and he sends, and public verification is rare.   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 22:08, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Letter from Dr./Prof. Luke Roberts

Dr./Prof. Luke Roberts of the University of California at Santa Barbara told me that he had sent an electronic letter confirming that the images of his website can be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, I am just posting this here to confirm the ticket 🎟 so I can start importing the images from his personal website at the University of California at Santa Barbara. I will create the maintenance ⛑🏻 category Category:Media contributed by Dr. Luke Roberts (UCSB) in the meantime and request that an OTRS agent will add the appropriate OTRS ticket 🎟 to this category. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (Talk 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 18:05, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

For informational purposes the OTRS ticket 🎟 number Dr./Prof. Luke Roberts received is "[Ticket#: 2018032110011865].". --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (Talk 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 17:12, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I would like to have opinions whether the files are derivative worlks or not. Also pinging @Yoanmb: for input. Ticket in French. Thanks, Yann (talk) 14:29, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Yann: They are DW for sure, otherwise, if there were an official work for hire, the State would hold the copyright. We've to check if such coat of arms are free of rights in their home country. But asking to the customer for a clarification –explaining him the issue– would be a good idea. --Ruthven (msg) 20:18, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Could an OTRS volunteer could quickly check the ticket for File:Save Cambodias Wildlife logo.jpg to make sure it's OK? The file was tagged with {{Npd}} and the uploader stated they were working on having an email sent in to OTRS. However, that was yesterday and the file has already been tagged with {{PermissionOTRS}} by Taketa. The edit sum which was left states "OTRS permission added by non-OTRS member", which is something I don't think I've seen before since I thought only OTRS volunteers could review permission's email, etc. Anyway, if everything is fine, then cool; however, OTRS verification generally seems to take more than a day in most cases, so I'm just checking on this to make sure. If there's a still problem, I'd like to let the uploader know so that can take steps to remedy it. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:33, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

My global OTRS rights and access were removed today due to inactivity. However access has been restored immediately (and I decided to use it) [1]. An OTRS admin however still has to make a request to restore the global right, so it doesn't report an error on Commons [2]. All the best, Taketa (talk) 22:15, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for clarifying things Taketa. Since you're back doing OTRS stuff, maybe the permission's email for this file could also cover File:Save Cambodia's Wildlife.jpg. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:07, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Marchjuly, unfortunately the ticket only covers the logo. As I am not a commons admin I cannot see the deleted file, so I cannot say anything more on the matter. All the best, Taketa (talk) 00:27, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Marchjuly: It's the same logo. It's pointless to have two versions of the same file (even if the deleted version looks slightly better). --Ruthven (msg) 13:35, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ticket:2009051410028286 - Request for existing approval checking

Could someone here be so nice to look at existing written permission under ticket:2009051410028286?. It was registered by OTRS member Polimerek at 21:02, 14 May 2009 and is visible at this plwiki page. Its in Polish: "Jest zgoda na użycie tekstów ze strony http://www.feta.pl/"; in English it mean "There is approval for using texts from page http://www.feta.pl/". My questions are:

  • Is this permission (2009) still valid, and in what kind of ranges?
  • Is this permission binding on that 1 mentioned article in plwiki and concerns texts imported from www.feta.pl only, or
  • Is this permission valid also for other materials (pictures, video clips or so) from mentioned website and/or by disposal of the same, mentioned in permission copyright holder?

At the moment there is a problem with 3 files only, but I expect many more soon, so I must know if existing permission is enough, or should I inform the copyright holder about need of separate permission/s at every upload? Thanks in advice, --Jasc PL (talk) 15:42, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Jasc PL: Sorry, the permission is only for text.   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 16:02, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks @Jeff G.: for your so fast answer, you are great :). If I good understand, we have an unlimited approval for all texts from their website? So, what content should have their next approval - for unlimited multimedia? :) --Jasc PL (talk) 20:57, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Polimerek: Can you please ask for such permission in Polish?   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 21:18, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Fortunately, Ankry is (was) here Jeff. --Jasc PL (talk) 21:58, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Jasc PL: First, the permission is under GFDL license, so it is valid for text that is published in Wikimedia till May 2009. CC-BY-SA 3.0 is required for anything upoaded later and that cannot be relicensed.
Second, the rationale for copyright they provided is doubtful. It is not clear whether they have copyright to photos.
Third, asking for permission is not the role of an OTRS agent. Anybody who uploads a photo should ensure that they already have a permission for this. Actually, I am not even sure who the copyright holder is and I have no time to make deep investigation here. The photos may be used on their site even if they are not the real copyright holder under some kind of permission that does not allow anybody to publish them in Wikimedia. And before somebody asks for their permission they should ensure that they are the actual copyright holder. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ankry (talk • contribs) 05:04, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
(1). Their approval from 2009 - now this matter is fully clear and closed, as we have 2018 now.
(2). All speculations about what they have or not are unjustified now - until we see their present permission.
(3). In some various places, also at the recent discuss with you Ankry I clearly stated, that I'll be concerned with this matter to the end and will provide them any needful assistance. I don't expect that somebody will make anything instead of me, I only ask if:
  • They must provide separate permission for some single or every set of uploaded files? or
  • There are any possibility to make an "open" permission for 3 mentioned images and any next from this copyright holder?
That's all I must know and I do the rest, guiding them what should be done. --Jasc PL (talk) 14:57, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Great thanks for lack of answer one simple question I asked a week ago. I understand, that nobody - especially among Polish OTRS staff, is interested in receiving a quality photos released especially for us without -NC? --Jasc PL (talk) 15:33, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

File:Hertha_Jugl-Jennewein_vor_der_Staffelei.jpg

Guten Tag.

--AFBorchert (talk) 21:35, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Would someone please look to see if OTRS has been received for this file? It is needed as part of a featured article candidate (Shorwell helmet; discussion here), to replace a fair use image that came under question. Just got an email from the copyright holder, and he said he sent the required email (possibly in addition to the online form) eight days ago. Thanks, --Usernameunique (talk) 19:30, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Usernameunique: 8 days is kind of early, but I don't understand why he hasn't changed the license on Flickr. --Ruthven (msg) 20:21, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ruthven, that was my first suggestion too, but he doesn't remember his Flickr password, and they wouldn't allow him access back in. I understand that the backlog takes priority—I'm waiting on several dozen photographs from early February myself—but hope that to help a featured article candidacy an exception might be made. This image was uploaded during the FAC to replace an image where the fair use rationale was questioned. Thanks, --Usernameunique (talk) 21:06, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Usernameunique: I found their email: ticket:2018032610012971. Unfortunately, it appears the copyright holder used their personal email. We need them to use their official email that's listed on their website in order for us to verify that it's actually them. I've sent a reply outlining this. Mz7 (talk) 23:41, 12 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks very much for looking into this, Mz7. Hopefully you get what you need. If it would help, I could also forward the email chain I have with the copyright holder; I emailed the official email address and received a response from a personal email address, so theoretically the chain can be used to connect the two. --Usernameunique (talk) 12:34, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Usernameunique: Heard back from them. The permission is now ✓ confirmed. Mz7 (talk) 02:11, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Use of image

Hi,

I am trying to reuse an image under the commons creative license. I have read the guidance on the site and I am not requesting permission to use this image. However, I am trying to clarify some details. Under the wikimedia commons the image is free to use and reproduce as long as the image is attributed to the original source. However, the original source has requested a fee to reuse the image. This seems to be at odds with the wikimedia commons advice and the information for licensing listed on the page. Could you please review the accuracy of this or explain further? The file in question; https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Blausen_0723_Pelvis.png

Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 90.255.119.220 (talk) 16:30, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting a fee is not acceptable for us, nor compatible to the Creative Commons licenses we use. But here this file is released under CC BY 3.0, which allows to reuse, distribute, and modify it given that the original source/author is cited; which would be here: "Blausen.com staff (2014). "Medical gallery of Blausen Medical 2014". WikiJournal of Medicine 1 (2). DOI:10.15347/wjm/2014.010. ISSN 2002-4436." --Ruthven (msg) 15:41, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The sculptor sent an email on February 18 regarding File:Patnixonpark.jpg, seen at Ticket:2018021810007477; the Commons copy of the photo was deleted a couple years ago. --George Ho (talk) 03:53, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Vladimir Belyaev (Charm.ru)

I asked Vladimir Belyaev of Charm.ru and Zeno.ru if he could create an OTRS ticket 🎟 and he responded with that a volunteer asked what type of template was needed, I had later advised him on what type of license he could use but I am not certain if the ticket sent by Mr. Vladimir Belyaev could be properly processed, if there are any issues with the permission Mr. Vladimir Belyaev has given for Charm.ru may I know them so I can address these to him? --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (Talk 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 10:47, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. (Post-Script) I am unfamiliar which ticket number Mr. Vladimir Belyaev has received, this is the only information he has provided me and since we both are very busy people our communication has been kept to a minimum. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (Talk 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 10:49, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Additional information, I had originally asked Mr. Vladimir Belyaev to donate his images in either June 2017 or July 2017 so it's possible that he is still replying to an older ticket. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (Talk 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 12:01, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Donald Trung: I replied to you on 6 September 2017 with a copy to Mr. Vladimir Belyaev using his address that you quoted on Ticket:2017071010012665, specifying that we cannot accept forwarded permissions and how to send us valid permissions directly. Sadly, I have not heard back from either of you on that ticket via email, and we have no record of having received any email message from that address. There is more background information in our archives leading up to that ticket here, there, and at combined Ticket:2017070910004015.   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 12:46, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, then I know enough and will attempt to contact Mr. Vladimir Belyaev again so I can try to get him to give more proper permission, you can mark this section as resolved. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (Talk 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 13:48, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Would you mind expediting the check for these images, as I suspect that they are copyright violations and that the uploader is simply abusing the {{OTRS pending}} tag to delay deletion? People who have obtained permission to publish photos under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike from the copyright holder would typically know the identity of the author whom they're legally obliged to credit and would typically not have to download the photos from Google Images. Thanks, LX (talk, contribs) 12:07, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wouldn't this better fit at the administrators' noticeboard? And did you explain to them when to use the OTRS pending template? Maybe they are not aware that the template doesn't automatically invite the copyright holder to release the image, but a stern warning and an explanation of how both Wikimedia Commons and the OTRS works would be in place. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (Talk 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 12:16, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It seems everywhere I post on Commons these days, somebody wants me to use another venue... This is the appropriate place to ask OTRS volunteers to check if there is any merit to the uploader's claims that "An email containing details of the permission for this file has been sent in accordance with Commons:OTRS." Administrators who don't have access to OTRS cannot check that. I also don't see why anyone would think that saying that a permission from the copyright holder has already been sent would automatically figure out who the copyright holder is and ask them to do stuff which should have already been done before uploading. LX (talk, contribs) 12:38, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Those are valid points as I had assumed that the uploader may have simply used it as a tactic to avoid deletion, I will ping the uploader now: @Osmaromneto: so they can respond and explain their position. Indeed the AN is probably better for more obvious copyright violators and it's entirely possible that Osmaromneto is a good faith user. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (Talk 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 13:51, 14 April 2018 (UTC)|[reply]
So we have 4 files uploaded by Osmaromneto on 9 April from 19:12 to 19:24 UTC, all with photography of Kpop (Korean popular music) group "Stellar" from their minialbum covers via Google Images, small with no usable EXIF data, in Category:Stellar. I have tagged 2 of them as dups of File:Stellar kpop group 2017.jpg. Of course, there were no matching OTRS tickets found. I have tagged all as copyvios and fraudulent.   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 13:54, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Is this valid permission? IMO almost for sure it isn't. --jdx Re: 05:53, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Jdx: Yeah, I don't think so. This (probably invalid) ticket number appears to have been copied and pasted on many images. Alex Shih (talk) 06:00, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Jdx and Alex Shih: Ticket:2008042810014876 is referenced on some 603 pages, but I cannot access it. Please see this edit by @Elitre for details.   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 12:56, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The permission is valid (but not in particular for this file, as no source has been provided). The ticket indicates a choosen license: "CC-BY-SA-2.5 (and any later version)", and permits the usage of the photos in the photographer's archives, given that the credits are given to "Vincenzo Iaconianni – www.fotoguru.it". --Ruthven (msg) 14:14, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[Ticket#2018032610007951]

I'm working with Memorial Sloan Kettering and Juliana Thomas (the photographer of the image in question) to upload this photo to Commons for use on W:José Baselga. However, I noticed that another copy of this image was previously uploaded incorrectly, without proper permissions here. I believe the original uploader was an MSK employee and unfamiliar with the proper protocols, but is no longer responsible for anything Wikimedia-related. Would it be best to update that file with the proper permissions, or re-upload this photo and tag it with this ticket number for review?--FacultiesIntact (talk) 18:32, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@CandiceTHOPP: Who took this photo, you or Juliana Thomas? @FacultiesIntact: Thanks for asking. Can we get the original 4,256 × 2,832 pixels version?   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 22:43, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Jeff G.: I can look into getting the original version, but all I have at the moment is a slightly improved 1280 x 852. I believe it was submitted under the ticket number above. Thanks for the help! I'll let you know when I hear back about the original.--FacultiesIntact (talk) 16:25, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Interactive release generator

Could someone please let me know how long it normally takes for a file to be updated when a copyright holder uses this tool? A representative for the copyright holder of File:Gevninge helmet fragment - 150x105.png told me he "filled out the permission form" on 12 April, which I took to mean him using the online tool (which is what I linked him to), but the permission has not yet been acknowledged.

Never having used the interactive release generator myself, I'm a bit confused by the process. I've asked people to use it three times (also with File:Shorwell helmet replica.jpg and File:William Chaney.jpg), but in only one of those cases (William Chaney) did it work quickly. Is there also an email component to the tool, or something that requires a manual step by an OTRS volunteer? Thanks, --Usernameunique (talk) 20:33, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Usernameunique: Items are not reviewed in the order they are received. We try but we are all volunteers and we try to get through them as quickly and efficiently as we can. The backlog current stretches to 57 days but that doesn't mean that it will take that long. The entire process is done via email and the tool directs you to email the form once you get to that step (or automatically through your preferred email application). As long as there is {{subst:OP}} on the file information page in question the image will be fine. --Majora (talk) 20:38, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Majora, thanks for clearing that up. I hadn't realized that there is an email component of the form that still requires manual review; perhaps because of the extremely fast turnaround (5 hours) the first time it was used (the William Chaney file), I thought it was an automated process, and therefore did not queue the files with the rest of the backlog. Happy to sit patiently now that I know how it works. --Usernameunique (talk) 20:51, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I uploaded that file on February 18, but it was deleted on March 9th.

I told the Photograph to send the permission that I stated I would have via mail to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Nina Jakešová did that on March 22 (Ticket:2018032210012522). But the image has still not been restored. Is there anything we can to to restore it?

--Wedderkop (talk) 08:22, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Oppose If a free license has been sent to OTRS, then the file will be restored automatically when and if the email is received, processed, and approved. Note that OTRS, like Commons, is entirely staffed by volunteers, and, also like Commons, is shorthanded, so it may be close to 3 days before the email is processed and the file is restored.
If the message was sent to the English language version of OTRS and the email has been properly received there the sender will receive an automatic reply with the ticket number. If the sender has not had a reply, please check that it was sent correctly and try again. Other language versions may or may not provide the automatic reply. @Wedderkop: Did you tag the file {{subst:OP}}?   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 14:15, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No, I haven't yet. --Wedderkop (talk) 15:34, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the file will be restored when the ticket will be processed successfully; in one month approx. --Ruthven (msg) 16:07, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Do I have to worry?

Some items I uploaded like File:Tự Đức Thông Bảo (嗣德通寶) - Art-Hanoi 06.jpg are in the category Category:Media contributed by Art Hanoi, but it's been a while and several individual media files 📁 still don't have this OTRS ticket mentioned on them, does this mean that they'll first get deleted after 30 (thirty) days and will then be restored? Or will they simply get the ticket later as there's a huge backlog? I am asking this as I am writing about Vietnamese cash coins on Wikipedia and don't want the CommonsDelinker to remove several images with a valid ticket attached to them. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 01:30, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
