Correct my if I am wrong but where do I find the CC4.0 license here? Julius Senegal (talk) 14:10, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- I may be wrong too, so sorry if that is the case. Please click on the Via Openi where it says source. The licence is there. Whispyhistory (talk) 14:30, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- But the image is from the paper here, so I don't know this "Via Openi", but do they have the rights to reproduce papers and change then licenses? --Julius Senegal (talk) 16:13, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- I found this:
- We cannot grant permissions to use images. Copyright remains with the authors or the journal. Hence a no permission given. --Julius Senegal (talk) 18:45, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks @Julius Senegal: , I had a read.... scrolling down a bit "Reuse of Open-i images is determined by the license type of the image. A link to the applicable license type, if available, may be found below the individual Open-i image on the detailed view page." eg... for this image the license is [1]. Is this any help? Whispyhistory (talk) 09:48, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
- Okay so at the top here it says the paper is "open access"[2] And than here it describes the open acess policy of the journal which means the image is CC BY 4.0.[3] If Commons is not willing to accept this User:Whispyhistory you can upload to NC Commons and we can use it on MDWiki.org at least.
