Description 80-G-701371: Radar radio antenna installations atop USS Lexington (CVA 16), the functions of the various units in the “Bed Spring Battery” following is the key to identifying numbers. 4-Fire Control Radar; 10 – Air Search and High Finder Radar; 12- Radar Test Equipment; 13- Surface Search Radar; 15 & 22 Homing Beacon Radar; 21 & 23 Air Search Radar; 26: ID Radar. All other numbers are radio communications. Photograph released November 17, 1945. (7/8/2015).
