Official estimates report that the number of flights during April 2020 experienced an 88% reduction. This image acquired by a Copernicus Sentinel-2 on 10 April shows several airplanes parked at Schiphol airport in the Netherlands, waiting for air traffic to resume. With a spatial resolution of 10, 20 and 60 m (depending on the spectral band), the Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellites deliver crucial open data to monitor anthropogenic and natural changes in the environment.
