DescriptionBritishInterventionPoster.jpg |
English: Poster issued by British intervention forces during the Russian Civil War. The text is as follows: "My Russian friends! I, an Englishman, in the name of our Allied cause, ask you to endure for some more time, courageous as you've always been. I have delivered and will deliver infinitely everything you need; what is more, I will deliver you new weapons to exterminate those repulsive bloodthirsty Red monsters". The banner with the handprint would later appear in J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium as the banner of the Uruk-hai. |
