For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN-ZB-Häßler-3.11.86-Bez. Dresden: Schiefer aus Thüringen-Einen besonderen Schutz gegen die extremen Witterungseinflüsse auf dem Kamm des Osterzgebirges benötigen die Gebäude in Altenberg. Deshalb werden sie mit Schiefer aus Thüringen gedeckt. Auch Industrieanlagen erhalten solche Dächer, hier die moderne bergbautechnische Anlage des VEB Zinnerz Altenberg.
