Dansk: Detalje af en opstilling i Field Museum of Natural History der viser højdepunktet under skidi pawneernes Morning Star ceremoni i Nebraska, hvor en pige fra en fjendtlig stamme skal ofres til Morning Star.
English: Detail of a miniature group in the Field Museum of Natural History. It shows the culmination of the Morning Star ceremony of the Skidi Pawnees in Nebraska when a girl from a hostile native nation is about to be sacrificed to the Morning Star. The ceremony promised the corn growing Skidis a rich harvest and success on the battlefields. The last ceremony with a girl tied to a sacrifice scaffold built under the direction of a Skidi priest was most likely in 1838.
