Description

An Imperial Japanese Navy Mitsubishi G4M ("Betty") bomber is burning, as it is shot down by a U.S. Navy Fleet Air Wing 2 (FAW-2) Consolidated PB2Y-3 Coronado patrol bomber, in the Central Pacific. The Japanese plane wears the number "72" on its tail fin.
