Description
English: Fountain of the Place Royale in Nantes. It shows allegorical figures of Nantes (top), of the Loire river (front) and of its tributaries: the Erdre (front left), the Sèvre nantaise (front right), the Cher (right, hidden) and the Loiret (left, hidden). Architect of the place: Mathurin Crucy (1788). Fountain by Daniel Ducommun de Locle, Guillaume Grootaërs and Simon Voruz (1865).
Français : Fontaine de la Place Royale à Nantes. Elle arbore les figures allégoriques de la ville de Nantes (sommet), de la Loire (premier plan) et de ses affluents : l'Erdre (premier plan à gauche), la Sèvre nantaise (premier plan à droite), le Cher (à droite, caché) et le Loiret (à gauche, caché). Architecte de la place : Mathurin Crucy (1788). Fontaine de Daniel Ducommun de Locle, Guillaume Grootaërs et Simon Voruz (1865).
