Hi,
I was looking for good photos of the Jerusalem part of the Madaba map and was deeply impressed by yours. Since my company would like to use such photos of this part as part of our marketing material, we would like to turn one of your photos to a "treated image" and not just to use it as a photo. I will kindly ask you to make such a commerical use with your photos.
- Feel free to e-mail me with further information. - Cybjorg 08:23, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I just noticed this image is being hosted on Flickr at http://www.flickr.com/photos/50404645@N00/285891385/ . You may wish to send a 'Notice of Infringement' to Yahoo to have it removed. See http://www.flickr.com/report_abuse.gne for a guide on this. (I just did it for my picture that this user uploaded...) cheers, pfctdayelise (说什么?) 10:25, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Archives for Film for National Geographic
[edit]Dear David,
I am an assistant producer from Infocus Asia, a production house based in Singapore producing documentaries for networks all over the world. We are currently producing a documentary series for the National Geographic channel on urban legends and history of locations around Asia.
One of the stories I’m focusing on in my episode is the European inquisition. I was searching for archives/images of the inquisition torture and came across your image of torture devices on wikimedia: The torture rack http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:A_Torture_Rack.jpg
I was wondering if you would be keen to let us use the image in our film? And if you would have more images of torture devices or the inquisition tortures? Our main character is an investigator of sorts, and he goes back in various scenes to a headquarters to check out a board of archives or webpage of information, where he sees strong images like the one you have which helps him in his investigations.
We won't be able to pay you for the images unfortunately, but we will definitely credit you in the endshow credits. The show airs on the Nat Geo Channel on all media and worldwide, which is great exposure.
Thanks David, look forward to hearing from you.
Kindest regards, Candice email: candice@infocusasia.com
Candice,
I appreciate your desire to use my photo in your project, as well as your willingness to credit me in the documentary. However, photo credits don't pay my bills, and so I do not allow my photos to be used pro bono. Thank you for understanding and I wish you the best in your work.
Sincerely, David

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Cybjorg. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Cybjorg~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
