Dear Yikrazuul,

[edit]

there is a mistake in your graphical presentation of the Calvin cycle in the German version of the C3-Pflanzen entry. It should be "3x Ribulose-1,5-biphosphat" instead of "6x...". — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 158.169.150.9 (talk) 14:11, 07 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia 'List of cocaine analogues' article images needed

[edit]

Hello,

I notice you make a lot of molecular structure 2D images. I am currently restricted to a library computer and cannot make images for upload.

I was wondering if you could assist me in my endeavor of adding certain images for inclusion at the Wikipedia 'List of cocaine analogues' page.

What I need is mostly those from Singh's SAR of Cocaine paper (45 pages in on the page finder; pg. 970 or so as enumerated on the paper itself: the chemical structures 183a-(through)-d, 184a & b, 185a-d, 186-188 on 'Scheme 42', on pg. 50 (974) structures 196a-o, 197a-g, 198a-e, 199a & b, 200 & 201a-e ... and more down to page 61 or so; namely N-modified analogs & such.)

Any help making these would be greatly appreciated. Nagelfar (talk) 21:44, 24 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Deine Grafik zur Dische-Probe

[edit]

Image of Heliconius sapho

[edit]

There is an image of "H. sapho" attributed to you which is really Heliconius hewitsoni, with two yellow bands across the forewing. The two species are close, but not thought to be sister species. There is no evidence that they are conspecific. Heliconius hewitsoni occurs in the Chiriqui region of Panama, and in adjacent areas of SW Costa Rica such as the Osa Peninsula. I think you have it perching on a host plant, which is probably Passiflora pittieri.

Best wishes, eratosignis [[3]]

[edit]

The Fe(II) is in oxidation state number two yet it is bonded to four nitrogens. How is this the case and what does the dashed lines mean?

Also how is the iron pentavalent instead of tetravalent?

Structure problems

[edit]

In File:Hoechst 33342.svg, the lower N on the third ring (counted left-to-right) is missing an H. But overall, the image has "3HCl", but these H+ are more correctly located on specific N in the structure. DMacks (talk) 20:57, 4 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your VFC installation method is deprecated

[edit]

Hello Yikrazuul, we are aware that using the old installation method of VFC (via common.js, which you are using) may not work reliably anymore and can break other scripts as well. A detailed explanation can be found here. Important: To prevent problems please remove the old VFC installation code from your common.js and instead enable the VFC gadget in your preferences. Hi Yikrazuul. Can you please have a look at File:Atractyloside.svg and File:Atractyloside general.svg? I think there is a methyl group misplaced in each. The ester group should be 3-methylbutyrate, not 2-methylbutyrate. Ed (Edgar181) 12:41, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Important message for file movers

[edit]

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

  • To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
  • To perform file name swaps.
  • When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Questions regarding this right should be directed to administrators. --Majora (talk) 21:36, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
