UCSB Reads 2025 Shortlist

The Library has announced the shortlist for UCSB Reads 2025.

Review the shortlisted titles and vote for your top pick by August 19 for a chance to receive a free copy of the selected book.

Permanent Closure of the Music Library

To create the new Arts Library, the Music Library will permanently close to the public starting August 5.

Music collection materials will be inaccessible for approximately 8 weeks while they are being relocated to the Arts Library. Music Course Reserves and Interlibrary Loan pick-ups have been relocated to the main Library Services Desk on June 24.

New ERI Resources

The Library's Early Recordings Initiative (ERI) has published new guides and training videos for identifying and playing audio cylinders.

ERI promotes the preservation, access to and appreciation of pre-1903 sound recordings.
