@crystaltikal

I honestly have no idea what I'm doing, I just joined because of fellow KHUx fans I follow on Twitter. Avatar and banner put together from sketch commissions I got from twitter.com/MugiwaraMikey, then colored myself.

Okay, so while we are STILL waiting for KHML, let's talk about our keykids, specifically, how you came up with their name(s)!

I'll go first:

Roy got her name from Roy of Fire Emblem / Smash Bros. fame, as I was deep into Fire Emblem when KHUX came out in English (April 2016) and I've loved Roy since Melee. I named Robin in FE Awakening "Roy" after playing FE6 (Roy's game) and FE7 (you could name the tactician). I basically decided to name any avatar/self insert character Roy from then on.

When I was little and got to play my brother's old games, Pokémon Crystal Version was one of them. It was my first experience where the protagonist of a game was meant to represent the player. My own name was too long, so I used the default name Kris, and I've been using it or Crystal as the names for my characters ever since.

(Second image was commissioned from xxmoonangelxx, Chirithy made the outfit sometime after the Keyblade War.)

gimme your thoughts and feelings abt daybreak town culture. i'm starting to work on a constructed language for it, and you can't have language without culture

formality is already being built into the language via pronouns based on seniority

I've always had this headcanon that the Unions functioned similarly to the Jedi Order, with the Foretellers taking kids from other worlds who had the potential to wield Keyblades once they reached a certain age, but since the only adults were the five Foretellers (plus Luxu and the Master of Masters), they were just much more hands-off with the kids, so things are a bit chaotic.
