Maffy’s Cake Boutique on Instagram: "Wave Cake 🤍💙🤍 How to create a perfect wave Effect .🙌🏻 ~Place a well-coated, perfectly smooth cake on the turntable. ~Use buttercream or any soft cream for this design. ~Don’t use ganache. ~Apply at least a 1/4’ thick layer of Buttercream to create waves. ~Use a small lightweight scraper ~Lightly press the bottom corner of the scraper on the cake. ~Make sure to press the bottom corner into the cake slightly. ~Rotate the cake in a wave like movement and move your hand gradually upwards to create the waves. ~No need of sharp edges for this design . (All you need is practice ) ~Use an offset spatula to create a spiral design in the center of the cake.
