While the focus was still on shapes, working with full range Color wheel I got a little overboard with them. Original artwork has that harmony with Color being close together. Will try a limited palette next time. Working with so many shapes I also made the values bit even, like highlights on hair and clothes will get darker in certain regions. Joseph Christian Leyendecker (1874 – 1951) was one of the pre-eminent American illustrators of the early 20th century. He is best known for his poster, book and advertising illustrations, the trade character known as The Arrow Collar Man, and his numerous covers for The Saturday Evening Post.
