HOW I DID IT: -removed hardware and cleaned with a degreaser -sanded to raw wood with a 120 then 220 grit and my @festool_usa sander! -applied a tan paint wash followed by the stain “antique oak” by @generalfinishes -topcoated it, hated it so went in with “van dyke brown” glaze by @generalfinishes to even out the color.
