I figured I would share some pros and cons (things I will change on the next one) here PROS: - size: it is 8ftx3ft and the floor is 5 ft off the ground. - floor: I like the wire mesh floor because there dropping can just fall through keeping their enclosure clean. - water and feed: I like the water and feed set up on this hutch. The gravity fed water keeps there water clean and the feeders keep them with food 24/7 - structure: I like that I used cedar boards around the sides because they are natural insect repellent. They enjoy having the straw, or pine shaving to play with but they will not build a nest to just lay eggs in. They lay them whenever and wherever they want. They do like laying them next to things as you can see in this video. But they also will lay them in a corner or against the side of the hutch. It is more about them being comfortable. If your birds are stressed they will not lay. If they feel safe and secure then they will lay on a regular basis. 🤯🤯🤯Laying between 250-300 eggs a year. 🤯🤯🤯 Did you know that? #homesteading #farmstead #homestead #quail #poltury #homesteader #homesteadlife #northtexashomestea Quail Hideout, Quail House Ideas, Quail Nesting Boxes, Quail Enclosure Ideas, Natural Quail Habitat, Quail Coop Ideas, Build Nesting Boxes, Quail Hutch, Quail House
