10 Weird But Genius Ways to Grow Strawberries

Whether you’re looking at alternative ways to grow your strawberries to save space, escape pests, add interest to your garden, or just use materials on hand, one of these 10 ideas is sure to help!

This is a strawberry tower planter. The idea was taken from several other pins that used stair stringers and plastic garden boxes. To keep the birds out, I built a cage out of 2x4’s, stained them with a water protective stain/seal, then added chicken wire. For easy access I made swinging a door of 1x4’s and chicken wire on hinges to go over the front slanted section. It still gets plenty of sunlight and *hopefully* keeps the birds and critters out while letting the bees in to do their job! Strawberry tower with chicken wire cage

This is a strawberry tower planter. The idea was taken from several other pins that used stair stringers and plastic garden boxes.
