NonFiction - Text Features - Mix and Match
This s a highly engaging hands-on partner activity. Print and laminate (for durance) all of the cards. Each group gets a set of cards that are mixed up well. Students use the cards to match the text feature with the example and the written purpose of the feature. My students loved it. It is challenging and fun. I have included 24 different text features, even some from digital sources, such as Icons and hyperlinks. These are concepts that students need to have down in order to master other CCSS.
